I was wondering whether there are any problems with this setup. I know that the fronts are kinda "thin", but I'm trying to cure the rubbing I'm having in the front under full lock and I'm thinking 205's might do the trick. Any input greatly appreciated.

Don't go with 205's. I had them on my 17" front rim and the sidewall was too thin. Furthermore, when I ran over a brick in the road it bent the wheel because of the lack of height with the tire.

What brand of tire are you using? Because, believe it or not, even though the 215/40/17 is supposed to be a universal number, some tires can be bigger or smaller when compared side by side. I presently have some rubbing at full lock with my Kumhos, but I never did rub with my Michelin SP8000 215/40/17's.

I have rubbing Kumho's on my Europa. They have very square shoulders compared to most tires
