If you ever get around to meeting up with the rest of us in Austin, you can measure the boot on one of our cars.![]()
I need the measurements of an unmolested/non-modified OEM shift boot. My shift boot is modified to accommodate a taller carbon-fiber tear-drop shift knob... it came that way w/ the NSX. I want to get one made that will accommodate a NSX-R/ARC/sphere shift knob better than my current 'boot.
I just need a few measurements & dimensions from an uninstalled, stock shift boot to compare w/ mine... ie. the fabric/leather proportions and measurements!
{Originally I had planned to simply buy an used one from 'Prime for sale forum, but it seems pointless to acquire something that which I won't even use...}
Thanks in advance!

rbirling/Bob, that's what I was also thinking since most of us in town are OEM for the most part (well, you used to be...Originally Posted by rbirling

However, I wanted to get an exact measurement of the boot w/o being attached to the plastic-trim/console so the fabricator would know exactly how much material(s) to anticipate for ideal appearance w/ selected shift-knob. The nature of the mini-project warrants rather precise measurements...![]()
