I would suggest 215/40/17 and 285/35/18.

I'm interested in upgrading to 17/18 on my stock 2000 and would greatly appreciate seeing some photos of diff. setups from those of you who have already done it. I seem to like the HRE 547 deep dish (or look alike for less money) and according to the tire size calculator it is recommended that the fronts be 215/35/17 and rears 285/30/18. Your comments and photos would help me a great deal.

I'd run the above mentioned front tire but a 285/30/18 on the rear. The 35 series tire would hurt your gearing as it has an outer diameter that is about 4.6% larger than the oem size tire. This will mean slower acceleration. I run the HRE547 in 17x8 and 18x10 and have been very happy with them. They were good enough to get recognized as the judge's favorite wheels at NSXPO '02 and, IMHO, the "R" version looks twice as good as what I'm running so you're on the right track!

Thanks for your reply Tampa Baynsx-r. I am thinking 7x8 in the front with 215/35/17 and for sure the 8x10 in rear with 285/30/18. Also, like the 547 HRE but are very costly. Could you email or post pics of your car?
