Anybody done the Dali 97+ brake upgrade kit

Dali Racing is now selling several kits to upgrade your brakes to the 97+ sized 11.7" brake rotors as a low cost alternative to the much more expensive available BBK-sets.

Dali is selling two differents kits. The first two will use the (heavy) two-piston OEM calipers. Basically, this is a set of larger brackets which will move your existing 1991-1996 calipers to the outside so they will fit the larger rotors.
Dali's catalog lists them with both 1-piece and 2-piece rotors:

    and
    http://www.daliracing.com/v666-5/cat...cfm?focus=1931

The last kit uses the same 97+ sized rotors but uses bigger and lighter calipers with four pistons instead of two for the front and

    and

I was wondering if anyone has installed these kits on their NSX and if they feel any marked difference in the braking performance of their car, both on the street as well as the track.
Any input is welcome of course..

I have a 1997 already but have installed the 2 piece rotors together with type R pads and braided lines, bite seems good, not applied any hard pressure yet though.

The advantage obviously with the 2 piece rotors is they should be lighter than stock.

I thought I might as well resurrect this thread rather than starting a new one all over again.

If anyone else is using any one of these Dali Racing kits, I still would be very interested to hear their experiences when it comes to braking performance, resistance to brake-fade and their general opinion.

We have had the RB BBK set-up on our FX500 NSX for about 7 months now. The price and performance of this set-up is simply amazing. In the past we have used the StopTechs, Brembos, and Wilwoods and this set-up has proven to bee superior in all aspects of performance both on and off the track. During the Best Motoring Video, D1 Champion Kazama had nothing but positive comments. In addition, during our Time Attack Qualifier our hired gun Trevor Allen also was amazed at the performance and simplicity of the set-up. Big Thumbs up!

    Hi Mr. Factor X Motorsports

Simple question for you (and others as well)..

Do you have the RB BBK with just the larger rotors (97+ sizes) and the NSX OEM caliper or are you using also other calipers. Like the 4-pot ones Dali is selling.

Everyone that has this kit has this kit on the front and OEM brakes on the rear.

The only car that has the rear Dali kit on it is me. We had to slightly modify the rear caliper bracket for it as the dimensions of the 2 pot caliper changed from the prototype unit to the production unit. That will be ready to ship in July.
