    Towing lowered on HR Springs

When I bought this car it was stock and we trailered it back from Floriday to Texas with a UHaul trailer. At that time I remember it being quite the PITA to get on and off.

Now with the car being lowered on HR springs and having a front lip I envision it almost impossible to get it on a trailer now.

I am moving from Ft. Worth to Albuquerque in January so am trying to get the logistics worked out. I would normally have no problem driving it that far, but I still have to get my truck and house full of furniture there also. And the biggest thing is I am about to get my car out of the shop for a front end repaint next week from rock chips and would like to avoid that drive so soon with the paint so fresh.

I have read all the towing threads and didnt see what I was looking for.

Has anybody had success towing their lowered car with a Uhaul trailer?

    thanks.

You are getting a trailer where the NSX has all 4 wheels on it right? I assume so and the actual towing part isn't the issue, it's getting your car on to and off of the trailer. If you have six 4x2's you can do it with a little patience (or extra help).

Tony, it is the 4 wheel trailer, not the tow dolly.

yeah it is the on and off part that I am worried about.

Now just think it's actually not a problem to put a NSX that's lowered on a trailer just put a long ramp in front

Re: Towing lowered on HR Springs

Done it. On the trailer, you back it up to the curb. Or with wheels touching the curb so the angle of the street and the raised lawn will make the ramp flatter if possible. Then you gotta put a 2x8(+) under the end of the loading ramp at the end touching the group. Car goes on the lawn and up the 2x8(+)s, onto the ramps then the trailer. You may have to park the front wheels on top of some stacked 2x8(+) blocks of wood to raise it the nose enough to clear the front part of the trailer. This was a lowered S2K though, not NSX. Just be sure to measure the the parts of the trailer infront where the front wheels of the car will be to makes sure. Other than that, it should load no problem onto the trailer.

Oh, becareful opening the door. It'll smash into the wheel wells of the trailer. I suggest taping some foam over the whole edge of the wheel well so you wont ding your door from loading.
