Disabling signatures?

Was wondering whether it was at all possible to disable the viewing of avatars or signatures when naviagting thru posts as an option selectable in the user's profile? It will save loading time for those who have a slow computer.

Unfortunately the current software does not support that.

I think you can set your brower to display only text and not have to load the imgae, sound, animation...etc.
