Do you know this car in San Jose jh4na1282st000674

Re: Do you know this car in San Jose wo wo wo wo wo?

I don't know this specific car, but why would a 2005 with 47k miles need a rebuilt transmission? And that paint job looks poorly done. Run Away!

Yes you are right. But still, too few miles to require a trans, unless it was beaten. I'd still run away from it. There's hundreds of other NSX for sale on this site, eBay, autotrader, cars.com, craigslist, etc, etc.

I just bought an NSX in San Jose that had originally been sold by Stevens Creek Acura. I had to do some detective work because no records were available with the car, and the Stevens Creek Acura service department were extremely helpful. You might want to give them a call and ask them exactly what the issue was with the car.

The seller does not actually say that Acura did the tranny rebuild. There is a non-factory Acura NSX specialist shop up there called "A foreign affair" that had done almost all the work on my car, and has a pretty good rep. Maybe they did some of the work on this Ebay car too. They have a web site, and they emailed my back with all the info on my car within a couple days, and were also (obviously) very helpful.

I agree with DavidF. Buy from a Prime member not because we all like each other but you'll buy it from an enthusiast who's most likely babied the car.

I'd run away from that NSX on Ebay for two reasons. It was keyed requiring a paint job (so they say) and the transmission on an automatic was replaced? WHAT? Could happen I guess but if both the car was vandalized and transmission replaced who's to say both didn't occur at the same time - EXAMPLE JOYRIDE or Theft Recovery!

Just my $0.02

This car is for sale again at a dealership...ad showed up on Craigslist.

I don't know the history. I ran across this thread looking up the VIN.
