The plastic piece that surrounds the gas cap lever is loose/broken,
i was wondering how will i be able to replace that

i think the plastic tabs got broken off
but the FSM didn't really explain much

maybe by removing the side sill pad
I would be able to fix the problem, but first
i was thinking of pulling it straight out, but i would rather be safe than sorry

so im asking if anyone know how to uninstall this

A quick upwards jerking motion! Just dont ask for a demonstration.

First take the gas opener knob off. I did this by holding the metal part with my fingers and wiggling the plastic knob while pulling. Then the side sill pad will just pull off. Just pull it straight up starting toward the back.

so your saying pull the gas opener lever knob off first?

why is everyone saying to just pull it right off first lol

Yes take the knob off first. Just raise the lever enough to get your index finger underneath to hold the lever and push the knob off with your thumbs

I guess if you just jerk it up hard enough the knob would come off too but i would rather not bend or break anything  .
