Ive seen these advertised on the Web. Does anyone have one or know someone who does? Do they work? please dont post a link, Im not looking to read a web page, just hear the facts from someone who may have seen one work. Thanks

There are two kinds of radar jammers:

1) Those that don't work at all; and

2) Those that are illegal, and can land you in jail.

Well actually those that don't work will still land you in jail.

Laser jammers are legal in most states.

They work. I stopped using them because I don't want any spot on my criminal record (so far it's clean) - but I now use so called radar "detectors". They also work, twice (one time unintentional 10 mph over the speed limit lol) I have braked when the scary poo-lice man stood 1/8th of a mile from me with his speed detecting hair dryer

This gadget will give me a fine where I'm from but it's not so serious if caught.

My good friend from Jamaica was just out. He said that the police actually use hair dryers over there!

And obviously will not let anyone check the readout on their "gun".

Here's the nutshell version,

Radar Jammers are illegal in the United States. Radar is regulated by the FCC. There are no radar jammers on the civilian market that are effective against modern police radar guns anyway.

Laser Jammers are illegal only in states that have passed specific laws against their use. Laser is regulated by the FDA. There are some Laser Jammers that work well against many types of police laser equipment and I use one on my NSX.
