OEM stereo makes loud noises

Hi. My OEM stereo makes loud thump noises while the power is on. It does it even with the volume in 0 and not all the time, even though one time i drove for two hours and it kept doing it every time i turned the stereo on. The cd changer is not working, i bought a new one and CODE 4 is on all the time. Please if you know what could be wrong, help me. Thanks a lot.

If you bought a std. Alpine changer (non Honda specific) you need an ACUALP adapter cable.
If it's a CHA-S634 (mp3 equipped) player, you will also need Ai-Net to MBus adapter - KCA-130B or see here for complete instructions http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/DIY/Alpine-S634.pdf

I actually bought the original one, it has the acura logo and everything, got ripped at the dealer $600. Thanks for your reply.
