Where's the best place to buy a center console
that will accomodate an aftermarket head unit?

So far I've only found one at Science of Speed.
I don't know if it's pre painted or not.

The SOS unit is not colour-finished, just primed & you also have to cut the final slot for the head yourself (even if you purchase the pre-cut unit, whcih only describes the ashtray if applicable & the brake & AC controller cut-outs). It can turn out really nice however.
They are only source I am aware of for a replacement product. The alternative is to fill & modify your original, either yourself or many custom stereo shops will undertake this as a part of the installation.
With the original you can also find some talented individuals who can do plastic welding - this yields some fabulous results but is not cheap.
