View Full Version : German translator please.. HSC info Autobild
I came across some pictures of the HSC on the Autobild website, but it's all written in german! If anyone here is kind enough to translate it for the rest of us to read, :D THANKS MAN!

The interior looks to bare to me. Needs a little more luxury. FYI, I still don't see an in-dash CD player. :)

Is there a more beautiful picture for the departure in Japan? The HSC continues to stretch the axles 13 centimeters as the old NSX, is nevertheless 18 centimeters shorter (4.25 meters). One would like to pinch oneself: That is a Honda!
A car, which is born in the wind tunnel and in the hearts of philosophers sport-in love at the same time We permit ourselves a small request to Hondas chief designer: Stop, Mr. Yoshio! Please touch the HSC and do not change only." Europeans do gladly heavily, beautiful from the Far East to recognize. How good the Honda is, alone the tail shows About curve light the Japanese technology-fallen in love think only too gladly The Interieur sobers up nearly: two confine seat caves, hardly files, behind the Sechser roars to the sport seats. That Mittelmotor-V6 with 90 degrees of cylinder angles originates from the old NSX and grows on 3,5 litres. A turbo is to bring scarcely 400 HP, the all-wheel drive Honda painted
Hey ss5153, the first picture is the best i've seen so far about the new HSC.
From that angle this is a very nice looking car.
I also like very much the third one showing how low the car actually is...
I feel that the yellow color will be great on this car...

I totally agree!! That first picture made me feel butterflys in my stomack. I think I have a new car goal.....
The side scoop looks bigger in these pics too. I remember when we all saw the first pics of this car, several people on this board were photochopping larger side scoops. Maybe it's just me or maybe these pics just make the scoops appear bigger. Do you think they heard us and actually changed it?

Perfekte Ubersetzung doc!!! :D
Gheba, I agree with you, very nice first picture !!
I like the second pic too. It really shows that this car is a child of the notorious windtunnel from Honda. :)
The rear ist the weakness from this beautiful car. It should be updated, particulary the lights that are looking a little bit cheap. The cabin should remain unchanged, it looks sporty and spartanic.
For all europeans; today my Honda-agent confirmed the presentation of HSC in Autosalon-Geneva. :D

I like the rear... very exotic! :D

Wow! Looks even better out on the street! I'm not seeing a weak angle anywhere! Build it now!

best pics so far i must agree....looks normal compared to all those wide angle pics shot at autoshows....
i love every bit of it....it seems to look smaller than before next to the japanese dude.....
they may have sacrificed a bit of luxury to get the weight down....

Guys, What's wrong with me, the more I look at the HSC the more I think the car is just freaking UGLY...:(
Certainly the best HSC photos to date -- even the rear end looks acceptable: though i miss the integrated rear wing. :( And the side intakes aren't big enough. but oh well.... i'm not going to buy a HSC anyhow. :)
nzo-who : You've got an 'nzo' in your username, a gallardo as your avatar? Bnd you don't like the HSC?
Look for the NSX in it... then it will become sexy.
Yeah, I like the Volks, in gunmetal. Actually, the wheels need to be smaller, maybe 18's in back and 17's in front: certainly no more than 19's/18's.

Nice pix yes, but the 2nd pic makes me want to head to the nearest trash can so I can hack up my lunch. Its been to the butcher.
If this car is going through generational changes they have to have some hints of the the gen 1. Meaning, where is the signature tail that flows from the back window/deck lid and spoiler.
Just for fun, someone put the rear section of a NSX on the rear of the HSC. Side profile and one on top of the other, any color and lets see what that looks like !

I still think this is the first thing in years to make me want to pay more for a car than I did my house:D
I love it, especially the rear. I do not care if it does not have generational cues, a rear spoiler (the last Accord 2 door has already copied it if you want one), or has a funky B/C pillar. The car truly rocks, and as it is layed out now, will surely roll!!!!!
BTW, Netviper, make the wheels 10% smaller, and I think you are there.

Thanks guys, now doesn't that help everyone ? A side view would do the trick with the extension of 6 to 10 inches from the wheel well to the rear edge.

Nice Dave w/the extended glass. Gives ideas as to what I'm talking about.
Whether you like the looks of what he has done or not, it brings out what I think is a flaw in the HSC. The back need some sculpting and reshaping w/a hint of the model it replaces. I look at it this way. If Acura wants to be a player w/names like Porsche, Ferrari and the Vette it has to as a marketing point appear to have eliments of its past like the above mentioned models do, like them or not !
You can see it w/the front and the greenhouse/cockpit which looks fine, even the sharp edging. Just don't give up on the a$$. Its a fine looking lady, but don't do so much plastic surgury that it doesn't look natural as a improvement.

Tom,
In addtion, those extra inches give us a trunk back. IMO, the car NEEDS a trunk at least as big as the current NSX.

raise the integrated spoiler to be flush with the top of the cockpit and we'll have a japanese F-50....

The whole idea of the HSC concept is no overhangs, and to make the car lighter. All of this just brings us back to where we are now, not really new and innovative. As much as I like the present NSX (I own two remember), I see no reason to "keep the past alive", as the sales figures for the past 6 years would not even make a useful one year sales number for the new model. Shake things up, and get new buyers into the showroom. But above all, have form follow function, not the other way around.

I don't think the past is alive w/what they have designed from Acura, Daves photoshops tell what were not seeing w/the rear of the HSC. I personally don't care for the abruptness of the rear end nor the rear window.
I would imagine designers in Japan have the same argument or constructive converstations over the same thing.

i personally luv the new look but do know some current members that are totally disgusted by it.
some like it new and some don't.....i guess we'll find out by the number of sales in the first year......remember, we should compare to the first sales of the original nsx not the recently sales figures cuz they suck!!:)

Remember, 300 units in the US will be almost a 50% increase in yearly sales.
IMHO, this car would sell thousands.

I would think they are targeting 4-5000 cars the first year. That would be a very respectable number.
The original sold around 3200 and dropped off fast after 4 years. Who knows why it dropped so fast while other supercars still sold decent numbers (Porsce, Ferrari).
I think it was probably acura's lack of updates and marketing that really caused the slow sales.

The side view is the worst, it may take some getting used to.
Everything else is great. I think there is a CD player on the console, it is vertical on the left side.
