Getting NSX ready for track

I'm planning to get my car ready for track. I'm a beginner would like any help from anybody about what I need to get the car done before I can bring it to the track and used the car effectively without spending too much money and harming the car. I heard u have to change the oil pump gear is that true? And what else?

I too live in the Bay Area and just attended my first track event. It was a blast, and took very little preparation on the NSX. I simply installed a halon fire extinguisher and bought a helmet.
