Place to see is MIKADO (Japanese restaurant downtown) on Friday night, evening before qualifying.
We were there last year. Several interesting folks also in attendance:
- brothers Schumacher munching on their sushi (about 5 yards from us)
- big-man Bernie making the rounds on his way out (he evidently got there early)
- other drivers and team folks
- lots of F1 gals and guys, mainly a European I'm-too-cool-for-my-clothes gang
The foods pretty good too... anyone up for some uni (sea urchin) sushi topped with a raw quail egg ??

I'm still waiting for confirmation on plans, but it looks like a bunch of us will be there from work, as we have been the past few years. What a blast! We will be staying at the Sheraton at Keystone crossings (next to cheescake factory http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/smile.gif ). It's a cool place to stay becuase they will park your car in front of the hotel and have a guy look after it all night for an extra $20.00 (good piece of mind on such a busy weekend). Plus it's the Bridgestone headquarters for the weekend, so many drivers stay there too! We'll have to get some plans going as it gets closer,
Aaron
Cool... hope to see you guys there.
Anyone else going ??
I just got my tickets and hotel room info confirmed today, so I am 100% there! We are going to be having an outing (about 25 of us) to the many bars of broad ripple on friday night (sept 27th) if anyone is interested. Otherwise if anyone else has any ideas, let me know....

We'll last year was so much fun that this year we've rented two condos and want to invite some of our friends to join us for a cookout at one of the condos (affectionately known as Cheryl's Lingerie Lounge) following Saturday's qualifying.
When: Saturday September 28th.
Late afternoon, following qualifying and other track activity.
What: S2000/F1 Fans Cookout @ Cheryl's Lingerie Lounge
Where: 7168 Eagle Cove North Drive, Indianapolis
How much: (Still TBD but rough guess of $10 per person for food )
If you're going to the race or live in the area, drop us a post here in this thread and we'll see if we can all get together.

Any interest in checking this out ?? Each cruise group comprises approx 50 cars, so it might be a cool show.
comments from Matt Nemcek (PCA organizer):
If you go to the Zoo, you may have to pay to get into the parking lot. I had to provide them with a list of the drivers so that they wouldn't get charged. If I were to pick a place to watch them go by, it would be right on Monument Circle which is right in the heart of downtown. They (Porsche cars) should pass by there at about 6:15 pm
