Charlotte Green Pearl
I was looking for a green NSX, and I found 95-T in a dealer. They told me that the color is called Charlotte Green Pearl. I asked them if they meant Brooklands Green. They said that the name of the color is Charlotte Green Pearl. I told them that there is no Charlotte Green Pearl, and it should be Brooklands Green Pearl. They looked up the color code, and again confirmed me that it is Charlotte Green Pearl.
I then asked my friend who had the 95 service manual, and in fact, I didn't see Brooklands Green Pearl. Instead, it only lists Charlotte Green Pearl as one of the colors listed in the color codes. Now I am confused. Does anyone have original sales sticker? Or does anyone have Charlotte Green Pearl? |
BTW, this is for the US market.

If we're talking the same paint code, then what "name we call it" should be less important.
Its not unheard of for the same color to have different names in different markets. The color sold in the US as Kaiser Silver (1997-2001?) has a different name in some European markets, as an example. Having just said that, this is the first I've heard of "Charlotte Green Pearl". |
I looked up the specs in our shop manual at work, and it is indeed Charlotte Green Pearl according to Acura.

Canuck: Does the description for the 1994 model year also show up as Charlotte, or is it Brooklands?
Maybe Charlotte isn't so bad, it makes me think of Gone With the Wind ;) . |

Incidentally, in the States, Kaiser Silver was available 1997-1999, and was replaced for 2000 by Silverstone Silver. |
The only green ever offered on the NSX in the US was always called Brooklands Green Pearl in all the consumer literature.
However, Honda offered the exact same color (same paint code) on some other models, and on those models it was called Charlotte Green Pearl. Since both are the same paint code, the dealer or technical literature does not necessarily make a distinction. |
Thank you for clarifying this issue. So they are the same color, then.

The weird thing is, in the shop manual it is referred to as Charlotte Green pearl, yewt if you look up the paint code through Hondacom, it is Brooklands. Two names for the same colour, at least north of the border. |
Strange.. my 95 service manual says Charlotte Green Pearl, too. They also calls my car Midnight Purple Pearl. I guess that it's okay to say Purple after all.
