I think A "normal" bumper and stanchioned splitter is much more attractive and functional. It would also make me much less nervous driving on the street because errant roadkill would not mean replacing the entire facia.

The rear I could live with as long as it has some aero function like providing extra length to accomodate a better diffuser (it still looks borderline ridiculous).

It looks better in race livery because the crazy paint and sponsor stickers take your eye away from the underbite and ghetto booty.

There, I said it. Spare my soul for the blasphemy I have just uttered. (or was everyone else thinking it and just not saying it?)
My question is functionality , but this front was designed by Honda right? I thought the CR spoiler was oversized in pictures and looked hideous but then I saw one at the dealer and had to have it.

I want just the front but the only primer to actually be running with this kits says the back is his favorite part.

Of course no one has shown the rear funnel any love

LOL Sorry thought there was only primer with the whole kit Looks great! The more I see that front spoiler the more I want it. Is Route KS the only one to make the kit?

The wing helps a lot.

Hope I didn't offend anyone. Opinion asked, opinion given

To each thier own, it's still an NSX and I'm sure it's fun to drive.

you guys are right, this car is ugly in the pictures at least. I was debating getting this kit for my nsx then I looked at two other prime mebers cars ( NO OFFENSE), and decided not to do it. I love the rear bumper, but the front dosen't do anything for me. Frank

Common Frank, it doesn't surprise me to see you change the look of your car again.
If you ask 10 more persons you might get some good answers out of it.

GT Channel finally posted the video of the Spoon NSX-R GT vs. the FXMD (previously Factor-X) FX750 Unlimited Time Attack NSX.

Streets of Willow clockwise with the additional (old track) hairpin turn 3-4 (the new 'blowpass' is a simple 90* right-hand corner while the old track was more of a hairpin with a left hand corner leading into the 'esses' before the 'bowl'). Depending on the car/conditions/track, the old track is said to be 1-2 seconds slower than the newer 'blowpass' configuration that most clubs run.

Mine's R35 GTR: 1:25.113 - Daijiro Yoshihara

FXMD FX750 NSX: 1:23.X - Billy Johnson (Lap not listed in the videos)

We did the 1:23 despite having significant problems engaging 3rd gear, brake bias being off, down on power (to break in the motor), and the terrible US-spec gear stack and final drive). This was filmed late last year where the car was still far from being sorted.

So Billy what did you think of the front splitter? Could you actually feel it producing more front end downforce?

While I did back to back the Stock, NSX-R GT, FXMD FX750, it wasn't a back-to-back test for the front bumper alone - too many variables in tire compound, size, suspension, power levels, alignment, weight, etc...

It would be hard to notice any benefits from the front end at Streets of Willow anyway due to its tight corners and low speeds. From an aerodynamic standpoint, the splitter is huge and extends very far out the front of the car, I would assume it would be noticeable at a normal track under back to back testing conditions.

I (& FXMD) would be more than happy to write up an engineering report/test the front end if someone wants objective results and has the bumper.

Billy it looks like your driving position was off. I think you need to watch this video and take some notes.

"For about $120K, you too can own your own Spoon-converted NSX-R. Once you leave your deposit, Spoon will source a used LHD NSX chassis from Japan (yes, LHD), paint it to your specifications, and assemble the car just how you want it, including every single part that makes the NSX-R different from the rest and a brand-new, blueprinted and balanced engine assembly."

Funny they'll do conversions in Japan but won't even sell us NSX parts unless we buy "their" version. Makes no sense as it would be better for a customer that already has one to ship it over if they really wanted Spoon to convert for them. Of course their car on display isn't convincing anyone to want Spoon to even touch their car at this point.

Smh. Can they just give me the original type R styling with 420 hp? I'd gladly take that if I could afford it...
