Maybe you should get a datalogger and compete more against yourself than comparing yourself to other drivers/other cars. Plus it is technology and you like that stuff.

I love my Racelogic Performance Box. It's half the price ($500) of most of the others and is portable. Suction cup and 12v DC plug. Has PC software for analysis and overlaying multiple laps.

Data logger is a great idea, DL1 is a great option if you don't need it to be transferable to other cars quickly. The DL1 can be tied into the car so it can log brake pedal and throttle position, so you know what you are really doing, not just perception. this will give you real feedback info to improve your skills, and know what you need to change.
As far as the front sway change, it do not make a huge change in car balance. 2 lb. of tire pressure will make more difference than the sway change. Dial tire pressures, then dial in the suspension alignment, like Billy said. Then go back to the tire pressure to dial that for the new alignment spec till you find what you like. Adjustable shocks will help too, using damping to balance the car if you are looking for an upgrade. Rigid beam bushings AND toe links will help with the understand issue too. Compliance front clamps help with threshold braking and turn in at high speed turns. A good set of parts to get along with a track alignment, get rid of most of the toe front and rear will help too.
