Default Charlotte at The Dragon - Videos

I'm at The Dragon and have some videos to share with the community. I hope you have as much watching them as I did driving.

This is a northbound run starting at Crossroads Of Time. Shot on 11/3/09 just before 11am.

Part 1 of 2.

Part 2 of 2.

Nice videos. Part I = Part II.
One question: The double yellow line on the street, what is their purpose? Do they serve as a recommendation where to drive about or is it forebidden to cross them? The SUV crossed them several times very excesssively.

Yea the double yellow line means no passing... and you have to stay within your lane or you can get a failure to maintain lane violation if the cop is having a bad day.

But on a road like this its easy to want to cross into the other lane b/c you want to hit the apex right? lol

What about if he's having a good day? I'd be a little bit worried about having to cross the double line myself also if an approaching SUV in my lane is forcing me to it.

true but in that area (southeast US) the cops don't have much else better to do than pull you over for even the most minor infraction...

And yea if you notice the first vid, the SUV let him pass on the right... but not the safest way to do it IMO!

Exclamation Re: Charlotte at The Dragon - Videos

The first time I ever drove on the Dragon was at night (my niece lives in Robbinsville). I recall one switchback that was about 200 degrees in course reversal. You are doing a pretty brisk pace, you must be familiar with the road.

The Dragon is awesome! It is where my NSX Trans decided to go pop! 2 min into the dragon from the north! It is not as fun in 3rd gear only!

Look like you had a good time!

I feel your pain...my NSX has been in the shop for two weeks for an automatic transmission rebuild.

Get it back yet?

'84 Aspencade? I think I had the same bike. Is that the gold 50th anniversary Wing. I still use that roll up toolkit from it!
