Japan's Option magazine did a feature on this company's work in their 2009 August issue, p. 30 - 32. They don't make those parts, but they do the "system integration".
Thanks myhui, I really have thought about NA before I decided turbo. I know NA would be awesome. I would try 13:1 with e85 or race gas but I know I would miss boost. Its too late to run NA now though. I just send the block out for sleeves. If I would have kept it NA I would just run stock sleeves and rods.

cleaned up the IM today. The butterfly plate is out! Now I am waiting for the SOS big bore TB.

Plan for tomorrow, clean up the oil pump and maybe port/ grind a washer down for a shim.

Are you going to tune the ECU on an engine dyno?

Which ECU and intercooler do you plan to use?

I dont know what other option for aftermarket ems besides aem. So I am going to be running aem ems. The plan is to break it in on the dyno. I will be running an a/w intercooler.

For fuel I will most likely run c16 or q16.

I wonder how hard is it to weld magnesium? I want to weld AN bungs to the valve covers for a catch can...

Cleaned the fuel rails.

Cleaned the oil cooler but not done yet. Just got all the oil + gunk off. Plan for tomorrow is to clean up the mount.

Took the oil pump apart, cleaned it and took out the gears. Waiting for billet gears.

Rear main seal cleaned.

Bye bye stock injectors. ID2000 maybe? =)

Next step might be to do Extrude Hone for some of your parts.

Just send the parts to them here: http://www.gethoned.com/auto.php

Everything comes back super-smooth.

They only seem to do parts that carry either intake or exhaust air. But in the past people have used that process for oil passages, like those inside the crankshaft or inside the block. Lexus does it for oil passages now in some of their production cars.

Yeah I almost feel bad now for thinking he was crazy when first asking how to remove the engine.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WELD MAGNESIUM! You will end up with an extremely dangerous/hot magnesium fire that cannot be put out with water or chemical extinguishers.
