353 rwhp sounds really low for a car rated at what, 480 hp at the crank? It does sound really good though.

ahh... Ferrari "marketing". I've seen dynos in the 400RWHP though which is more in line with 480 to the crank.

Ferrari marketing is certainly well know for the 355, but if you look at the 1/4 MPH for the 430, it has a LOT of power.

A F355 dynoed with our local NSXers a few years back and it put down 275 rwhp. My '91 did 271 rwhp. The F355s were rated at 400 crank hp as I recall. It would seem to me that the F-car layout lends itself to a lot of drivetrain loss.

i was looking into this some a little while ago and came across the common drivetrain loss percentage in the ferrari 360 of close to 25%, which is insane...
ferrari 360 rated at 400hp+ dynoing at around 300whp... very suprising. |
