Arnon has reserved Grand Prix track at Pacific Raceways for us on July 7th. No tracking experience is required. The first 25 cars only. If we get 25 cars max. it will be $100 per car. Less than 25 cars then it goes up. This is an all day event, 8-5pm. 4-5 cars at a time on the track. 15min sessions going all day.

1) Arnon
2) Jfowler
3)Eric- Fowlers friend
4)Ferrand?
5) Chris- Lotus guy
6) The Dr. Which is still questionable if he actually shows.
7)Dan
8)rusted nails
9)nsxotic911
10)v-tecpwr
11)boxhead
12)Fowlers friend
13) speedneed
REGISTERATION IS CLOSED. WE ARE FULL. WE WILL DO THIS EVENT AGAIN SOON.

Wow... sounds like a GREAT deal.

I don't work till 2pm on Tues...so, hell, count me in for at LEAST the morning.

I may just open late on Tues.

Or not at all.

Yes Eric, that's the spirit!!! I'm trying to pull people in so it's a given that I "need" to be there... I'll try and see if I can switch around my schedule.

Arnon, email Moderator and take your other thread off... or you make a link direct to this thread, so no confusion.
I need head count before I start pullin people in from S2ki and my other friends on facebook. (some from Canada, and I don't want to invite unless we sure we have the spots.)

As I wrote over on LotusTalk...

Quote:
Cars on the track. Probably about 3-5 at a time, spaced out so we won't get in each others' way. There will be no passing allowed because it's such a small track. We've set a maximum of 25 cars, so you should get 1-2 hours of track time in the 8 hour day.

In my opinion PGP is more fun than PR, at least in the Lotus. It's more like autocrossing than roadracing.

The date is Tuesday, July 7.

Please add the new GTR dude! Please remind him that he had offered to let me drive it that day :-) Chris will make sure that he pays, Chris is in charge collecting the money. He will make sure everyone paid before we starts, no free bees.
Also the owner Paul wants to have fun too.

Farran how many of your friends are coming? I know "Niko" told me he will come.

Please guys, small car only.

Bill Bell is off that day and he offer to run around to help us w/the traffic, perhaps making sure that everything run smoothly. Monday, I am posting S2000. Then may be Mini.

If you want to try the Z1, I don't mind swapping with you there and then you can find out yourself why I'm in love with it. I was actually thinking of bringing the miata as well and a set of worn 15/16 ra1 (which I have too many in my parent's house.)

I say I'll be in, and if history is an indicator, 90% likely I won't make it but I'll be there in spirit!

....In all seriousness, I'll try real hard to make it, but effort != always == success, if you know what I mean..

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the rules for this track. A helmet is necessary, correct?

Sure bring a helmet if you have one. The track will have one for you if you don't. :-)

Guys, Chris will post PayPal link today in both forums.

It's official. Sign up now!

Click on (LINK DELETED) to use Paypal, and include your preferred email address and full name (as it appears on your driver's license) in the optional note. I'll send back confirmation and instructions, and add you to the mailing list for further info/discussion (unless you tell me not to). I hope this works... I've never actually used Paypal to collect money before. Cash works as well of course, but we'll need it ahead of time so we can cover the rest of the track rental.

Feel free to share this around, as we only have about 15 people signed up as of yesterday. There will of course be some no-shows on the 7th so we'll keep a short waiting list as well.

I'd prefer cash instead of paypal, did you look into the paypal limit? you might get the service charge when people use credit card. Let me know if you need the cash in advance, Arnon will take care of that for me...

farran, I got your back :-) You and Dan are in! you make sure both of you show up at the gate w/$100 bill each. You know I love cash!

We have 3 volunteer instructors for novice(if any). Brian 'v-tecpwr', Rick '4mulacar' and Chris'hexangle'. I think this thing is going to happen. Novice driver who wants to start this sport will enjoy this event the most. So bring your fancy car out, you won't hurt it in this event

Thanks for the invite Arnon. Unfortunately, I can't make this one. Are there any plans to get some time on the new Oregon Raceway Park track?
