After what he just told me, I'm bringig a camera and LOTS of film! Who's good enough to strap an NSX engine to Sandrail? You know the answer! Who's psychotic enough to do it? You know the answer! The guy was laughing hysterically the entire time. I think he's gone over the deep end now. It's in his shop right now and he's working on it. red engine covers and all. I told him I'd post up this info and post some pictures afterward. Let's just say, if you're in the area, stopping by may be well worth it. Note: His welder is currently working on the beams mentioned in the weight reduction thread. Once they are done he will be able to give a cost on them. It may not be done today, but very soon. |

Here it is... as promised.
What??? You didn't believe me? Yes, that is an NSX engine Larry is strapping to the sandrail. It's for a company called Modern Image. They will be doing some kind of feature on it. |

There is already someone who runs desert races with an NSX engine. I even have a jpeg of it somewhere jumping an NSX with a caption that says something to the effect of "Sorry Acura, we needed something with more wheel travel"

That's cool. I didn't know it's been done before.
Maybe Larry can add a supercharger to it. ![]() It was cool seeing it for myself. |
