Austin "Garage Mahal" Tour (many pictures)

Today, I was fortunate enough to attend the "Garage Mahal Tour" (hosted by Hill Country Ferrari owners in Austin, TX). Here's a quote from the invite:
Quote:
The Hill Country Chapter's first annual Garage Mahal Tour. The concept? Four of our own members open their large, multi-car, lift-filled, Ferrari-themed garages to us in sort of a progressive breakfast-luncheon event. All 4 are in Austin... This ought to be a blast, and will become an annual Hill Country tradition. No one needs to bring any food or beverage (unless you have specific dietary requirements)---just yourselves & family members!!!
As promised, it was an absolute blast, exceeding all my expectations. It drew in folks from all over Texas. Seeing all the garages and cars... group drive to venues... meeting and chatting with owners... I'm still grinning! The hosts were extremely generous - providing peeks into their garages and homes and providing refreshments and lunch!

I have a ton of pictures, here are a few (including some panoramas):

9:30 AM - Garage #1

high-resolution image: 2450 x 360, 435 KB

Our first stop was this amazing garage. It was currently home to an Impala, modified ZR-1 Corvette, 69 Corvette with the rare (and expensive) L88 option (~600HP), a couple of classic Ferraris, Masarati and 5 motorcycles. Check out the tire rack, it's remarkably similar to the one I built for my relatively tiny garage. Outside were 5 classic Chevys and Caddys and another ZR-1 (an amazing twin-turbo Lingenfelter). Four classic motorcycles could be found inside the rec room in the house. A fifth motorcycle was in the living room.

10:30 AM - Garage #2

high-resolution image: 2400 x 1245, 797 KB

Our second garage looked deceptively modest from the street, but was remarkably spacious, had a unique layout, and a was very "charming" in a workshop kind of way. Inside was a BMW 540, Jaguar, Ferrari, and a track-ready Jaguar.

11:20 AM - Garage #3

high-resolution image: 2400 x 468, 453 KB

I was once again in awe when I arrived at our next stop. This one was a beautiful Italian-style home. A pair of facing 3-car garages welcome the guests and immediately exposes the owner as true car enthusiast. Step inside an you'll find a well-organized garage and a nice collection of classic Ferraris.

12:20 PM - Garage #4
The first thing that struck me was the amazing floor! After that, I realized there was also a lift, FF Cobra, BMW X5, motorcycles and a beautiful 550 in there!

Here are a few of attendee's cars (the weather kept some of the nice classic Ferraris in the garage):

nice pics.

as much as my heart longs for an NSX, the 355 just makes my knees weak, and the 360 causes a similar reaction.

and buymeaferrari.com? that's funny...
