Question Honda guy said the HSC will arrive... March '05?!?!

Went to a carshow today. Even ate my lunch in the Honda section.

I asked the guy at the Honda desk for some info on the Honda HSC. He said Honda hasn't sent out any material and that they're waiting on more information. But he did say the HSC would be out in Australia same time next year, 2005. BTW, he was the one who knew his stuff, not one of the hot bimbo representative chicks or tryhard guys.

I'll be honest, i'm doubtful... but maybe next year sometime i can believe.

ok... post your thoughts, and any other commments/V8-requests/engine-speculations/flames-about the rear-end/etc..

well i was told by a dealer at greenwich acura which sells alot of nsx that the it will be in sometime next year but not sure when. But March sounds about right if they will not make a 05 nsx it seems since the hsc/nsx will be an 06. However, I do wonder though since honda wants suggestions on the car (on the genearl board) which if they do integrate some of the suggestions, it would probably take over a year to do.

Why does it smell like fish around here

the truth of the matter is...you ask 10 honda dealers and you'll get 10 different delivery times. looking back at the S2000, cars always arrive right before the year ends....

it doesn't matter when it arrives...more importantly, what's going to arrive under the hood.

More Dealer Heresay

I had both my cars into Crown Acura today ($$$) but at least I now have negative 2.8 degrees camber front in the track car. Who knows what is making the red car sound like a wheat thresher.

Anywhooo....., The new sales manager came out when I had the second NSX there and introduced himself to me. He asked me what I thought of the "new NSX". I said I really liked the HSC, but of course, we do not know what the next NSX will look like. He said that the Dealer private website was showing the HSC as the next NSX, but was not giving any details on engine, HP, etc. He has already taken an order for the new model.

Take it for what it is worth.

I heard that story 3 years ago, customers putting large sum of money down for the first redisigned nsx the dealer gets.
Dearler private website? I thought they know as much as we do (sometimes we know more then them). Some dealers I know get their info from vtec.com cause honda doesnt give them any info until the car is about to launch. It'll be official when there is a pic of the hsc/nsx on the street ala 04 tl a month before it hit the showroom.

Yeah...dealers are not to be trusted. Although, I am hoping that the estimate of next year around March is correct, as I spoke with an Acura district rep that I know pretty well and he said that it was scheduled to arrive around that time as well as a 2006 model car. Maybe it will finally happen.

What difference does that make. The spare tire will just be coming out anyway.
You mean the hatch right??

No information about price and engine, but very serious sources (I normally ignore rumors, but these comes from really ABOVE ) say that Neo is right about the release date. Maybe even before that date...

Mmmh - are we talking about a source that formerly ruled Honda Switzerland and was involved in fine tuning the 1st NSX?

I do not like that "swiss honda entity" ... but people related to him anyway.

It seems to be at X-Files.
