Default Vir 6/19-20

Anyone up for VIR full course on 6/19-20? Mazdadrivers is hosting an event there and I believe it's open to anyone. I had such a fun time at VIR this past weekend and itching to go back. I'd love to see more NSX there to exchange feedbacks(me being on the receiving end most of the time ) Detail is here.

most of the guys stay at the Danville Comfort Inn and Suites. They do fill up so don't wait too long. I might be up for this but won't know for a few weeks.

ak- how was VIR with PCA?

Hey Howard. It was awesome! PCA guys were surprisingly real nice and friendly. They had a lot of fast cars

Howard,

If you do decide to attend, will you be bringing the NSX?

nope- it'll be the Lotus Elise (if it gets here in time). The '79 Rx-7 has been officially retired from the track and it is for sale. I am gonna track the NSX 4/19 with some of the NE NSX guys at a Trackmasters event at Summit Pt.

Yes, the PCA event was really good, it was fun meeting Howard and ak there as well.

Hmm, I wonder if I can go to VIR in June and also go to NSXPO in october. I know I can handle it, the question is - can the wife...

VIR is great anytime, but these dates conflict with the USGP . One great alternative, if one can wait later in the year, is the G&W Motorsports Fall Fling, VIR Full Course, Nov. 20/21. It is one of the best sports car track days events anywhere in the country! There are at least 4 NSXs already planning to attend then.

OK, I registered for the June VIR event. That track is really fun - and lots of runoff room, you almost can't run into anything.

Last time, a Ferrari 550 Maranello, a Porche Carerra Turbo and I did the upper esses together at 105 MPH. Man that was awesome. Looking forward to it again!

Jeff- if the moon and stars align (and the Elise arrives in Atlanta by mid-June) I could possibly caravan with you from GA to VA (and VIR). In any case, if you're interested, I'll let you know when the car is coming in to Hotlanta. -Howard

PS- Whoever met Akio at VIR, it was Hank that was with him. I was at VIR the previous week, but in my '79 Rx-7. We "H" guys always get confused. -Howard

Dang! Hank, Howard, it was an H name. I'm terrible with names... Sorry Hank!

Sure Howard, would love to caravan if we can. Have a pair of NSX club band radios, so we could do it right. Let's keep in touch.

Howard: "H guys" lol You crack me up.

Jeff: No worries, are you confirmed for Mazda too? If so, looks like there'll be a good NSX turnout.

Not confirmed yet, but I signed up and dropped the check in the mail, so I did everything I can for now. I'll let you know when I hear something.

Well I sent in my registration and check about a month ago. My bank reports the check has been processed. I sent another email to that Dave guy, and have heard absolutely nothing back, ever. So I don't know if I'm going, but they took my money so apparenly I am?

I'll keep bugging them, I need to find out...

Jeff,

Give Dave Nugent an email (DavidNugent@aol.com), I am sure he'll be able to tell you whether you are confirmed for the event.

Yay, I heard from Dave, I'm confirmed. Was able to book a room at the event hotel even at this late date.

I'm psyched. And this weekend, I'm going to Roebling to get certified as an Instructor in the Chin Motorsports club. My wife thinks she remembers my name....

Howard - any word on your Elise?

The Elise has been delayed for a coupla weeks, so maybe late June or early July. I was hoping to get it in time to take it to Roebling with Chin. Do you know of any other June/July events there? I could even go during the week.
