East Bay Area BBQ Invite

Hey all you NSX lovers,

Ann Marie and I enjoyed meeting you all so much at the Starbucks last weekend, we decided we would like to invite you to a casual BBQ at our home on September 25, 2004 at 1:00 PM.

We live in Alamo and will provide the grill, hot dogs and hamburgers, ice and soft drinks. You bring anything else you want to drink, as well as some kind of side dish if you want. We have a pool so if you are so inclined, bring a suit and a towel. Be advised it is usually hot as you know what so plan accordingly.

The price of admission is the at you drive your NSX. Sorry, because we anticipate alcohol being served we have to ask that adults only attend.

Hey everyone - As a reminder, please make sure that you send me an e-mail if you could, so I can get a good head count - (need to know how much food we need) so we know what to plan for.

This is a casual thing - no worries, we are not going to put a microphone in your hand and ask you to sing or something. Just come, eat, relax talk cars or whatever.

As a side not, put a coat of NTX Meguiar's on the NSX yesterday, boy it looks nice. Took a photo of it parked next to a F355 Spider (red/tan like our NSX) and his paint definitely needed some TLC - he even recognized that.

Janice and I would love to attend, and we plan on it. Hopefully I'll get my car running by then. Had a little fluid mishap at a party on Saturday. Went to show it off, and all the coolant had escaped from under engine compartment. If its a hose, I'll be there. If it's more, then Don a Hilltop will have to weave his magic. I look forward to meeting you all, and hearing Ken's stereo up an running.

Thank you to all that made it, we hope you had a good time. It was great seeing everyone and their nice cars too. My neighbors must have thought it was an invasion of NSX's.

It was hot - but once the sun moved and we got some shade it was great. Nalesh and Ariel volunteered to man the BBQ - (it appears they have considerable experience in this area) and did a great job!

Surprisingly enough we did not talk about NSX's the entire time. I was bouncing in and out of conversations becuase I had someone working in our home - you have to take the skilled trades people when they can fit you in - so I felt bad that I was distracted from the BBQ - Oh well. Had I known that Lisa (of Nalesh and Lisa) knew her way around carpentry, plumbing and electrical, I might have been able to save some money! Isn;t that always the way it is?

The last NSX rolled out at a little before 8:00 PM- My wife and I had a great time hosting and talking with everyone. She and I are looking forward to tracking the NSX so we can continue to meet and get to know fellow NSX'rs better.

I want to thank everyone that brought food, drinks and desert. That was much appreciated - What a great group of people.

Ray T. - sorry you left before I got a chance to actually look at your SC installation.

I hope that somone posts the pictures of the cars - I should have pulled mine out of the garage - crap!

I second all the good thoughts aout the BBQ. Michael and Ann Marie are great hosts, and it was great to meet the rest of you (except Ken, who I know already). It's great to see what others have done to their cars, and to see the rolling Circuit City that is Ken's car It was nice talking music with people who also saw Gilligan's Island in prime time LOL

I look forward to seeing you all at the next get together. I hope its soon.

Hey Joey - Don't feel bad, it was my party and there isn't even a shot of my car. Though it was in the garage, the garage door was wide open and it was plainly visible.....oh well, my luck I guess. Next time I will tip the photographer - maybe that will help.

By the way/ who's they blue NSX in the BBQ meet? i'v seen u a couple of times drivin around SF (3rd st). i like the rear deffuser.
