well its faster than a gallardo. However, I really can't tell how much faster since we can't see how far back the Lambo is.

2006 Corvette C6 Z06 vs Lamborghini Gallardo with a rolling start on the highway. Both were video'd there is the version from the Z06! $165,900 vs $65,000 = $100k cheaper

...And 100k less exotic.

Has there ever been a time when a low end Lambo beat a high end Corvette?

Serious question, I really don't know. It just seems like except perhaps for some late 70's, early 80's models there's always been exceptional Corvettes for some extra money.

Cobalt actually. However, it is much improved compared to C5.

I was actually impressed with how well the gallardo did. It hasn't had impressive times in most road tests IMHO.

Part of the problem with the Gallardo is that its awd and its set up to have significant understeer.
Just spent 3 days at VIR working on, driving, and coaching in a Gallardo.
Same customer has a Z06 coming in in Jan, so I will give a dirrect comparison then, but I can already tell you as already stated, a vette is a vette, plenty of power with a crappy chassis, yes its gets around a track well, posts good numbers, but I will never buy one even at a highly discounted price.(unless to resell

)

I am making some chassis changes on the Gallardo and taking it to Summit Point Sunday.
On a side note, a few weekends ago I was instructing at a Ferrari event and there were 2 Z06's there, the doctor who owned the black one disliked it(and was scared of it) so much so that he turned around and traded it in on a Gallardo SE after only 3 weeks with the Z06.

If anyone can help me post video's + pictures I will send them.

Drove, and instructed in one at Summit, it's a Ford alright.
