I just got my new nsx..(yeee, sooo happy!!) and I was wondering if anyone in Austin would maybe want to meet up with me & show me the ropes?? I've taught myself how to drive a manual but want to see the real power that the car has. Anyone??

I'm gonna be in Houston this Saturday, and probably working Sunday - what about the weekend after the 17th? (I think that would be the 24th?)

Lunch?
Easy (40-80 mile) cruise thru the Hill Country (or lake area, northwest of Austin), afterwards?
(Since we are already there...) Check-out Harleys?

I ran into another new NSX owner last weekend. I was going to tell him about NSX Prime and exchange contact information, but he seemed a too pre-occupied (

) to chat with me. Oh well, I'll try again next time I see him.

Next time, we can plan a cruise thru the Hill Country. I'm sure this will help lure some out-of-towners to Austin and make the trip worthwhile.

Thanks everyone! I had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet so many new car nuts.

Attendees:

missnsx was there with her new(-to-her) black/black 1995 NSX-T.
NSX ATX had his gorgeous 100% mint 1991 NSX, also black/black - fresh off the delivery truck.
It was awesome to meet Greg, who has been a long-time owner of a Sebring Silver 1991 NSX.
switched drove to Austin from San Antonio in his turbo Supra MKIV.
PorknBeanz was in a transverse-mounted mid-engine V6 2-seater, but it was not an NSX. Hearing about your NSX only makes me more eager to see it completed!
Of course, I was there in my 1991.

We had lunch Chuy's (thanks missnsx!). The weather started to look like rain so we could not go for a cruise (even though NSX ATX, switched, and I tried). At least the first few hours were rain-free.

Next meet:

We talked about another get-together in 2 weeks. missnsx graciously offered to host the next one at her place. I'll start another thread soon, so we can start planning.
