I am going to change air filters in my 04 TL and was thinking I'd change them on the NSX but cannot seem to find a part # for a cabin filter surely there is one?

Re: Does a 91 NSX have a cabin Filter if so where and how to change it

I searched the parts list under heater and air, as well as the repair manual maybe I'm not looking in the correct area, I'll do a search on the forum.

No cabin filter in the NSX.

Re: Does a 91 NSX have a cabin Filter if so where and how to change it

yes, that was the point i was trying to make- the forum search would have given you the answer right away.

There isn't one but downforce made one for the car. Check it out on their website or just call them. I have one for my car.

Yea, let that guy have some free etiquette lessons, much more entertaining than a straight answer, and costs more time and electric, more Co2 and in the long run kills us all quicker.

The air filter for the NSX would be the larger ecosystem as a whole. Keep that clean and you won't have to change anything.

Edresh:

You don't have to respond to such an ignorant response as "do a search." Some people just lose track of courtesy. It takes the same amount of time to demand that you do a search as it does to type out the answer.

Heck, it takes even less time for the member to simply go to the next post if they don't like the fact that you didn't do a search before posting.

Ruyji was able to type the answer out with considerably less effort than the member who wanted you to do a search for the answer. Then this member had the tenacity to write a second time attempting to justify his reason for demanding a search. Weak....just plain weak!

I just don't get this "do a search" stuff! Why don't we all try to back off this "do a search" stuff and either; 1) Answer the question, or; 2) Move onto the next post.

Solving problems break down to two phases:
a) Forming the proper question
b) Knowing where to find the solution.

1. The "do a search' strongly indicates that the answer is available or the problem has been already solved and that the search terms are obvious. This is actually valuable information!

2. If the search terms are not obvious, I will provide those terms and explain nomenclature (as a well defined question is half solved). Most OG's around here will do that and add a personal commentary. It gives somebody the ability "fish" for themselves which is really the long term goal.

3. If there are many threads, I will forgo terms and simply post the link to the most relevant so as to reduce confusion and duplication (which further reduces duplication and confusion). I've been around a while so I have a fair idea of what is valuable.

I wish I had such clues to my daily navigation of life. Most of the time I stagger around solving symptoms and wish I could just figure out the real problem so I can begin the solution.

Then I suggest *YOU* start answering questions to help with the load. Don't complain: as your response is completely unhelpful and negative.

It wasn't "well said" either, it is just a waste.

At this point it probably would be proper to begin a critical discussion of knowledge transfer, knowledge base maintenance and problem solving techniques. Stuff like this pays my bills and has taken the better part of the last 20 years and I still don't get it right.

Well said.

I agree, "do a search" is not an answer...

Do a search on "ABS", "TCS", "OIL PAN"... and what answer
do you have  ???
I absolutely don't understand why the search function is
limited to words with more than 3 letters. It is a high
frustating function sometimes  !!!

Drew...I guess you are just smarter than the rest of us!

Personally, I like to be patient, polite and courteous whenever possible. This isn't "life" as you state...this is a fun hobby for everyone to enjoy. "Life" is raising your children to become responsible and well-respected members of our community.

If you don't like what is being asked, try not to take control and order people to do a "search."

If you feel the urge to be control things and be the "boss" go order your dog around! We are not dogs!

Now I had not seen this thread  http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128734 before posting my soap opera analogy,,but that one is a beauty and proves my point exactly:tongue:

There isn't one but i made my own:smile:. Just buy an AC filter from Home Depot for less than $10..cut it to size ( about 4 by 6 inch). I cut 2 pieces and lay them on top of each other. I also sandwiched a package of "smelly good" stuff for the AC vent...in the same isle as the filter at Home Depot...it make my cabin air smell like...humm..fresh laundry ...it sure beats that "old sock" smell before due to all that humidity inside the vent. And it will definitely keep out all the dirt and polutions.

How dare you bring us back on topic:biggrin:

I believe you can use a * if you dont have more than 3 letters...

My god all I wanted to know is about a cabin filter, and it launched into what seems to be the philosiphical debate of the month.
