Guys here we are again. the things that I get myself into are insane. My good friend Bruce at ExtremeMotorcars here in tampa has a new toy

since he paints so many of My NSX builds he now has the NSX virus in his blood.

I think this is going to be the best build Thread of the year and I hope Lud and everyone will love what Bruce is going to do to his new toy.

Now all of these body panels will be duplicated and molds will be made and will be available for purchase. this is going to be a sick build.

Here are some pre-pics or design sketches that started this project. the wheels are being made and cut since there are none like it in the world.

The front end will be none like in in the world.

Rear end will have none like it in the world

The wide body kit is pieced together from multiple other wide body kits, yes we purchased a few and have cut them up to make the best fitting wide ass body you will ever see.

the side ducts will be extended downward to the bottom of the sideskirts. the top airducts will vent oil coolers, the doors are being cut in half and flatend to match the rest of the hand made body kit,

some of the sources of the ideas were from the Madonna kits, and others

the rims size is going to be off the chain, and this car is going to push around 650HP Turbo.

you can also go to his site to watch the build there and view his other toys at http://www.extrememotorcar.com/album79

so here are the pics

the first 2 pics are just sketches the front end has been changed it was to dramatic but the sides are def how its gonna look

the 2nd pic was the concept kinda stripped from the new NSX styling but Bruce didnt like it so he changed things around and I can't post what the real front end looks like yet.
it looks bad ass I saw it today

Shawn... I dont think this is a good idea. Why not put this effort into making an HSC body kit? The path you are on now will end up looking like a mishmash of the 1980s and what they thought the future was going to look like (delorean-esque). I'm not trying to be discouraging but I cannot imagine how these two eras could be harmoniously brought together into a working design. It's going to end up a "totally 80s" body kit from the concept :( Hope that's not too harsh, I don't mean it that way.

I see what you're going for with the bumper... You're going to need the 02 headlights and type R hood. Think lotus evora front end. It's not gonna work with the pop ups my friend. FYI I have a strong design background if that lends any credibility (and have also won design awards).

Nero i hear ya, Bruce the owner is a designer too. he actually has a team working on this a room full of designers

Ok but they have their hands tied behind their backs using the old 1980 car's body and lines. :) What kind of automotive shop hires a group of design professionals Shawn? You got chip foose going over there!? From the rendering I also saw that despite using acura's new unresolved origami failure of a front end, they were also making the car look generally taller be making the side intake opening and rear bumper more vertically elongated. The spoiler was reminiscent of the F40 and F50 too.. Pointing to the 1980s again. Going the opposite direction of sleek and wide man! I see you are trying to be clean in the details style but always work the overall package first. If its not a coherent success then there will always be trouble. OK I will shut up and wait for some progress..

He owns a design firm in tampa, in the back of this building is his other biz which is car restoration, and in the same building is his showroom of all his exotics cars.

so he has a room of designers with all different backgrounds including himself. its hard to explain.

I probably shouldnt have posted the 2nd pic cuz that throwing you off. it doesnt even look like that now. it looked good on the computer but then when they got down to it, it wasnt the way to go.

Nero, I sent you a PM with info to his design firm check it out

Shawn, they are a media and print design company from the website you sent me. I was thinking more along the lines of product design or industrial design or even art/sculpture for a project like this. I'll just keep watching... Hope you don't mind the honest feedback! Is that "great stuff" foam insulation they are carving up btw?

Nero I dont mind the feedback as long as there is no profanity LOL

but there are 3 guys in house that has background in car design, Bruce designs his cars in house for clients around the world literally.

anyway I will try and post some more pics today of the mock up rear other widebody kits have this bend over the rear quarter which should not be there, it should follow the lines of the car not bulk out
stay tuned guys. this stuff is going to be fun.

I agree with Nero's points but look 4wrd to see progress in build.
Please post current design changes and/or ideas and lean towards "sleek and wide man!".

I will keep it level headed Shawn, I'm not emotionally invested like I am in what Honda does with the new NSX. ;) I still worry about small volume car design unless you've got Foose or Pagani over there! We'll see though. They got the quarter panel idea right, only the comptech widebody used that integrated approach before. It still looked a little unnatural and less graceful than the stock body lines though. Every other kit went jgtc style for some reason (there must be a reason).

Subscribed! Looking forward to the Pics!
