2013 Detroit Auto Show

Acura should go back to real names for their cars. ILX/RLX/PMX.....dookieX.......it has no model recognition.

Perry, you're saying the wheels actually look good in person?

Man, I dunno.

Tell Acura r&d to just call rays eng or enkie, And use any of thier wheels. Rest of the concept looks the same except the body panels can open and close like a production model.

One of the best things about the current car is the view from the drivers seat. I hope they keep that feel and don't make the dash too high.

Looks same as last time, no real changes though the front grill detailing seems more defined. Rims...change them.
Interior is sweet, but no manual option. Not really suprised but given the racing heritage and Honda's image as a Japanese Lotus I am surprised its not offered.

Nice to see Acura pouring money into preserving the NSX name, but you guys are better off hanging onto yours ;)

That arch towards the center console immediately reminded me of a Toyota Prius :chargrined:

He said the wheels are CF. Certainly Fugly

LOL. Very possibly. Good thing it's just concept wheels (crosses fingers).

One of the best things about the current car is the view from the drivers seat. I hope they keep that feel and don't make the dash too high.

From Ikeda: "The new NSX Concept also features a first-ever look at one potential direction for the next-generation Acura NSX interior design. The design concept is founded on a “Human Support Cockpit” theme, a strong expression of Acura’s product direction focused on “the synergy between man and machine.” The interior package boasts outstanding visibility, an exotic driving position, and an intuitive “Simple Sports Interface” that minimizes interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience. “Consistent with the spirit of the original NSX, our intention is to support the psychological and emotional aspects of driving a super car at the limit, because we are insistent about delivering on the synergy between man and machine,” said Jon Ikeda, chief designer, Acura Design Studio. “Importantly, this will be true of all Acura vehicles moving forward.”

I agree with you. But it sounds like maintaining NSX-like visibility is a priority for them. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Can't wait to sit in one.

Production in two years though?

Yeah they do. Most didn't like the car till they saw it it in person. Same will hold true for the wheels more than likely.

Rims

I like the rims - they look like Spider-Man's shurikens ....

could be my eyes playing tricks on me but the back wheel does look a little bigger. i wonder if they are going staggered again.

I think you are right.

The front end has been mildly modified where the beak has been thinned out and changed from grey to black. Looks better IMO but there is room to clean up and improve.

The profile, rear and interior look great.
