NEW 2015 Inspired 91 NSX Build

Lowering it would help for starters. All about the stance.
Making the front wheel opening smaller has made the front fender very tall/fat looking...80's Trans AM.
Think the side looks good, front and back bumpers and wing look Kitcarish.
That's a hell of alot of work in a very short time, have to give credit for that.
Love the wheels, what size are those?
 
Agreed on the lowering. Also some sort of front lip that doesn't just abruptly end would help...
 
a carefully thought out and executed front bumper imho is needed instead of a front lip. the led strip in the bumper does not line up with either the vents below nor lights above; re both horizontal/vertical alignment.

Well, the project was extremely ambitious for a 3 month design-to-production build, and I think the result reflects that. It reminds me of some pics of early NSX prototypes that I've seen, and just like those designs I think it can definitely use some refinement. Interesting effort though, and you can tell a lot of work was put into this project.
 
like someone said earlier, as long as the owner is happy thats all that matters. we are going to go back thru the car and look at some things that people had mentioned at the show.

but from design to end I think we did a great job. it was hard work. I bet if you guys got down and were invloved with this with a time crunch you would understand how hard it is to make this happen.

but comments and opinions help us build an even better one next time ya know

Shawn it has some good features its just that some really don't work so it's a real mixed bag right now. I personally like the fenders, the side scoops. The rear wing is a total clash with the way it comes off the high end of the taillights. It's very square and boxlike on the inside, looks too home made from e rear angle. That needs some sort of redesign.
 
The most awkward part is the area infront of the front wheel. There's nothing there to break up the biga$$ piece of real estate where the side marker used to be. I'm also unsure about the 300zx style in the bumper that exposes the headlight, but I think it has a lot to do with the fender area aforementioned. I do like the side scoop and wonder why the lower crease of the door couldn't be incorporated instead of removing it. I think a few tweaks and the car will look great.
 
from the pics it almost looks like one of the early ns-x design studies aka 1988......we're going back in time....

A bit sad that there is one less real NSX left in the world.
Remarkable that someone would go through all the time and trouble to build a car like this.
Wondering if the builder would ever get his money out of it when he sells it?

on ebay, the widebodies that ask for 50-100k sit around for a bit until they become auctions, where the 'asking 50k widebodies' top out at 22-25, and the 'asking 100k' top out at 35-37. there were a few that looked like the sold for more (the cars were here on prime); but it was indicated that it was simply the seller (and or their friends) d!cking around with the auctions behind the scenes.
 
I can definitely appreciate the amount of time and work that went into this project because I spent sooo much time perfecting the widebody on mine (but sold the car before it was finished) but as for this one...

the rear wheels need to be spaced out farther, the rear needs a diffusor, the f40 style wing looks just that, the leds in the front look like a pep boys add on. I like the style of the front bumper, and props for creating that from scratch, but the leds ruin it for me.
 
Shawn if you really want to know what parts work and what needs work, you can make a multiple choice question about each angle/part and post a poll. Let people tell you what they like and what they do not. Poll it baby! Poll it!!! :D

I am afraid to laugh... the cat is hilarious but it is shawn's hard work and I don't feel right laughing at the cat.

Shawn we still love you brother.... even if we are critical.
 
In all fairness to Shawn, he simply helped with the wrenching...I doubt he was part of the design process??? or were you shawn??? If so, what were your ideas?

To me the ONLY 2015 inspired part on this car is the front bumper. Everything else isn't even close. For instance, the concept doesn't even have a wing.
 
Current wing isn't looking right. Check out the yellow NSX in this vid @ 0:50. Much more appealing wing IMO. Maybe something to look at.

Oh yes, that wing is MUCH better.
