HPDE Event at Thermo 2015 NSXPO

We will open it July 17th or very shortly thereafter.
At this point, there will probably be a cap of 54 people allowed to participate in the HPDE spread out in 3 groups due to track limitations.

Glad to here that registration will open in July. I'm probably ready for the intermediate group, since I have 5 track weekends under my belt. That will make room for one more novice entry.

I would think you should be ready for Intermediate after 5 track weekends.
Not to mention NO ONE is racing, and ontrack courtesy will be an absolute must in all groups since 99.9% of us have never driven this track.
It's going to be a very relaxed casual day with the main goal that everyone has fun safely, everybody and their NSX's go home in one piece.

Glad to hear you'll be coming out for it.

LOL , Don't worry to much about me, I'm and older gent (north of 60), and the older one gets the more one wants to get to the finish line! Also my car is a lot faster than the driver LOL Looking forward to the HPDE.

LOL...know exactly what you mean being North of 60 myself :)

Count me in for the novice round. I could bring some snow down from Canada, if anyone needs to cool their jets...

Very cool, great to hear and yes, bring some of that snow down with you !

PM if you still need an instructor. My father in law would be interested. Former SCCA Pro driver, Drove the Trans-Am Series and instructed for Bondurant at Infineon when it was known as Sears Point

Will do, Thanks !
Waiting for a couple of things to happen and we'll know where we stand instructor wise.
So far I believe we have 8 for sure without making the announcement.
Most likely we are going to need 18.

I know an instructor, but he is the bay area. He is not and NSX owner and not registered for NSXPO. If he was needed and available, he could stay with me at my hotel room. The only problem is what does he do in the evenings? Do you know what day(s) the HPDE will occur on?

Thank you, and I sincerely appreciate your help and thoughts.
But trust me, being a NASA senior instructor and the asst. chief driving instructor for NASA-AZ, I have a pool of many certified and licensed instructors I can pull from that would instruct for the day if I ask from the SoCal Region which are close to where the event is being held.
We haven't reached that point yet and I will know where we stand in the next few weeks.
The idea is to keep all the instructors in house that are registered & attending the social event itself and not have to bring anyone in from the outside if at all possible.
One way or another, all Novices will be covered for instruction for sure.
Again though, thank you for stepping up to make sure we're covered.

The Thermal event is on Friday.

Not yet, but should be in the next few days.

Made note of it Mario, not to worry. Registration won't go live until I have a chance to review it, and I will make sure you have a spot.

Coz, Don't forget to save a spot for me if registration opens late this Friday or over the weekend while I'm out of town.

Mario Cano (intermediate run group)

Thanks

Wish you could too Ravi.
Could use you as an Instructor :)

I can talk Ravi into being my instructor, right?
Jim, I want to do this... seriously... total newbie ;)

You can try Chase, problem is Ravi is committed to INDE in Wilcox, AZ that weekend with NASA.
With him leading the points in ST-2 and that close to the end of the season, I don't think you're going to have much luck.
I took the year off from competition, much needed break, otherwise I would be out there with him and not going to EXPO myself.
Do it anyway Chase, I'll work with you.

Great to hear after all this time trying to get you out on track with us when you were living here in Arizona ;-)
You'll have a great time brother !

I forgot about INDE... Ok, I'm in
