Greetings from NSXPO 20,007 (no typo, its the real date, it says so on my badge!)

I'm here with the Canadian contingent:

It is a BLAST! There are over 100 NSXs here and just being around this many is a rush in itself.

Its also cool to meet all the folks I know my screen-name on Prime as well as the CDNs all hanging out with each other for an extended visit and spending lots of time in my room drinking once the days events have subsided - it seems the US owners don't like drinking as much and do like sleeping. (everybody has noticed that the Canadians know how to party!)

I have to say, even Dave is starting to like me, why earlier today he sprayed me with his favorite perfume to "make me more attractive to him" or something - I wasn't paying too much attention, there was this tall blonde with a short mini skirt that was distracting Derek and I :wink:

We'll post some picts tomorrow so you can get a sense of it, but I'm really sorry more of you guys aren't here, its a blast and I would like to have shared the experience with you!:smile:

The older man he was planning on bringing with him that he was going to share his room with - "Dad" as Dave referred to him as - cancelled at the last minute, something about Dave not wanting to pay him for the whole weekend and an issue with "Dad's" pimp:wink:

take 23 north to Findlay. Tis a bit slow for the first 10-15 min, but after that its a good 4 lane highway all the way to 75north.

WOW! What a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many NSX cars in one place, so much beer in one room jammed with well over the legal limit of PPR (people per room). Funny thing we all noticed - even with copious amounts of alcohol you never really got a "buzz", no hangover - must have been the GGREAT company.

Sooooooooooo many stories were told, and there were even some who complained that after 3500 posts on Prime they never got an infraction. WE compared Fiero's to Lamborghini's, scratches to dents, Thorough Breds to some of the guys "thingies"................

Met some GREAT people, even those with the same car, showed some how great Harley products were, and even wiped the car down once. Learned that 7 years is long enough past the time period to change the timing belt - and now after spending a day in the seminars have to spend more money to replace the hoses and perhaps the thermostat. Then there's the touch up paint issue, which we learned is only for taxis.

At the TRC both Derik and I get top marks for spinning the cars, but we were told to so I guess it's okay. Realizes tires don't like to spin backwards, but don't worry - most of you won't do that because you have to drive fast to start the reaction. I got a cone stuck up my rear end and it had to be pulled out by a cut instructor. No wonder he had a cast on his arm - needs some good support for that one!

Good thing I have no interest in trading my bikes for a car, as after trying the road course for the first time - it was pretty obvious that you guys would be toast once I got to the track. If I can figure out how to get rid of the visual impairment object supporting my car - look out.

WE ALL an absolute blast because the PEOPLE made the event, the event didn't make the people.

Me too. Thanks for the hospitality, my friends. It was a welcome release from the 'real world' to get to spend a few days with new friends. I appreciate it very much.

Driving in caravans (not the vans) is super fun too.

I agree...looking at the schedule, things looked a bit boring, but spending time with the group was more fun than anything else.

...and, yes....stepping up when needed is just how I roll. Because I am a hybrid, yo!!

It was one of those experiences that I will always remember and will make me smile for a LONG time to come.

Its true - it was the people, NSXPO could have been held in a barn and we could have done nothing but drive there and back and I would have had a blast. Upon reflection (ok, here I am being serious ) The NSX Club is about people - the fact that we have the same cars provides a basis for something we all have in common - the fact that they're awesome, interesting, technical and sexy machines means that we all have some core similar interests.

It was meeting new people, getting to know the ones I already knew even better and getting closer to some who I just "kind of knew from online" that made the event.

Staying up and laughing about silly things with new friends until 2am was the "being a teenager again" feeling that has me feeling like I'm walking on air today - everything seems brighter (maybe thats why none of us had hangovers, the teenager glands kicked in:wink: )

NEST YEAR: I can't wait, we're going to either just fly in to NXSPO 08 or ship our cars to Vancouver and drive

THIS SPRING: since I can't wait a whole year the NSX Club of Canada is already planning a Spring meet - Est Fest - in the 1000 Islands with the NSX Club of America NE crew. We can get the Ottawa contingent to meet the folks from London and all of us can meet the Americans - we'll do it on a weekend so plan on a Saturday night stay over and BRING LOTS OF BEER!!!!:biggrin:

Hahaha, looks like a great time was had by all!

Hands down the NSX brings together some of the nicest and mature automobile enthusiasts. I love Prime for that reason compared to the 4-5 other car forums I frequent on a semi-regular basis. Quality car, quality people.

Looking forward to Est-Fest details as they develop.

Becky and I just got home from the track event. I met another Canadian, Paul Lawrence - he was there instructing with Rui and Mario. Paul's a great guy with a beautiful black NSX. I think we'll see him around some more now.

The track event was great. Very well instructed and highly organized. I was in the advanced run group with 5 others, which gave me lots of open track. I went for a ride in Byron's full race NSX (it's what you'd get if Stu and Dave's NSX and Porsche had a baby red NSX) it was built by John from Bridgewater Acura. HOLY S@#T!!! Too bad you guys weren't there.

PS. The best meal of the event was in a place called the Cabin after the first track day.

At the TRC, I waited 3 hours to take my turn. It didn't matter how fast I went on the skidpad, when I lifted I couldn't spin. I went through the AutoX way too fast, and slid all over the place. It was great to test the grip out in an environment like that.

Becky and I had an amazing time! The Canadian Embassy was the place to be, that's for sure! Mitch, "Nya?" Sean, "Nya!" Either our American friends love us, or are glad we got out of their country before we burnt anything down!

What struck me this time (compared to NSXPO 04) was the passion, everyone shared for our cars! Each and every NSX there was special. Mitch showed me 2 cars in particular. One that shouldn't exist, and another 1 of a kind that was converted to a Type-S.

I saw the power of Dave's car as well! The supercharger is cool and all, but the GPS helped us find beer and cigars! Everyone should have one.

Then there was a new colour of NSX. In fact it was Championship White, 2 toned with Painter's tape blue!!! I hope he got the tape off ok, after 2 days of 90 deg heat!

Apparently the sun rises on Zanardi editions.

And not only does Lud run NSXPRIME, he tracks his beautiful blue car!

Then there was Shawna's first modification to her car!

And Stu's new girlfriend. (Thanks to RSO34 for the last 2).
