Brake lights - only when starting with handbrake engaged

Thanks for the answer. I was not clear. The parking brake light works perfect. Light on when parking brake pulled, light off when parking brake released. Just this thing that sometimes the two red brake lights come on when starting the car with parking brake pulled. Well, I will try too look to...

Brake lights - only when starting with handbrake engaged

Dear All, Since I had my last TB job with the motor out, sometimes when I start my car (91, MT) with the hand brake engaged, I get the 2 red brake lights on. If I drive, then I get ALB and TCS. If I start my car without the hand brake engaged this never happens and no lights coming when driving...

    Timing Belt Advice

If you do LMA, then do cam plugs and seals. But if you do not hear any clicking noise and have no leaks, you can postpone that to your next TB service.

What should timing belt / valve adjust service cost?

If you just do TB and water pump, it is doable with the motor in. When you have the hoses (perhaps once every 2 or 3 timing belt change) or LMAs (once in a lifetime), it becomes more convenient to drop the motor.

Solution for low AC and clock lights ?

Both clock and ccu have the same brightness. I have an aftermarket radio. Well, it seems we have to live with that.

Solution for low AC and clock lights ?

The dimming mode is functional. The brightness switches from low to very low :ROFLMAO: So is there a way to have these VFDs bright again ? Or we can just wait and see them get darker and darker ?

Solution for low AC and clock lights ?

Dear All, I did not find a real answer to this problem. My clock and AC/ventilation have a very low intensity. I think this is a matter of time that they become darker and darker. How can we get them brighter again ? Are there bulbs in the clock and AC modules ? Will new bulbs help recover a...

    JDM gear ratios visualized

JDM gears are more than 0-100 mph times. On the street, with crossings, roundabout and tight turns, most accelerations are from 15 - 30 mph in 2nd gear (except if you are a wild animal and put the 1st) and this is exactly where the stock looooong 2nd is a nightmare. I really look forward to...

Weird noise in rear when driving, axle or wheel bearing?

Not wheel bearings. Could be inside gearbox (differential). But I would first regrease the axles.

    My Track & Street Tools

I took the time to do the IAB delete on both my cars. Cleaned the injectors at the same time and changed some gaskets and the fuel lines from the filter. None of the twelve plates were moving. Hence not a really useful operation. But I have the peace of mind. My but dyno says nothing special...

Is this 1990 worth 90k? Pics and info inside.

    rear ball joints

Lower ball joint in the hub is no problem to press out and replace. As said before by Honcho, upper ball joint is a different story.

    My Track & Street Tools

Motor is out on the Street Toy. After 9 years, it was time to do the belt service. We are doing also the coolant hoses as they are original I think. Also LMAs and cam plugs & gaskets (reason of the motor out) as I had a slight clicking noise. And the oil pan gasket as we were there. Ready for...

Thanks. I uploaded them. Seems that the proxy does not like pics hosted by Imgur.
