    DanO's Winter Project

A possible word of caution here. I worked for many years in the aviation industry. Grinding stones were never used with Aluminum. The soft metal will load up into the porous surfaces of the stone and make it susceptible to fragmenting like shrapnel. The recommend method for grinding the metal...

    passenger window

If it is a 91 or 92, sounds like the window regulator is broken. Check the FAQ's under Troublshooting->Power windows. This problem has been covered in great detail there. [This message has been edited by F=MA (edited 27 January 2002).]

    Detroit Auto Show Pictures

Here are some shots of the NSX at the Auto Show. Sorry in advance about the pictures. It was imposible to get an overall picture, the crowd was immense. And difficult to get close ones as the usher were very anal about anyone touching the railing. www.geocities.com/shepard911/sheps_page.html

Yet another wheel and tire question.

Thanks for the information, that answers the tire question. But brings up another. My objective in changes the wheels is to eventually upgrade the brakes. Will the 17x7.5 and 17x9.5, both with 42mm offsets, clear larger brake calipers? (Brembo, Tarox etc) BTW, they also have an 18x9.5 55mm...

Yet another wheel and tire question.

Has anyone had any experience with the SSR Competition wheels on an early car (92) in the 17x7.5 and 17x9.5 combination? All the data would indicate a good fit. On a related question concerning 17 in. wheels….The data from FAQ indicates that with this wheel set, either the 215/40 265/40 or...

    Goodbye to Speedvision

This has been posted on the Speedvision site. It looks like continuous NASCAR coverage on Speedvision. Starting on 11 Feb, NASCAR will be the only weekday programming from 3:00PM to midnight. What a sad day. http://www.speedvision.com/pub/articles/racing/08INews/011129a.html

WOW!! You won't believe what I'm watching.

I have the C&D top ten exotic cars video. The ten are: Shelby Cobra, Corvette ZR1, Lambo Countach, Acura NSX, F-40, 911 turbo, BMW M1, Lotus Esprit Turbo, Ferrari Testosterone, and Ford GT40. The NSX section looks like a Honda promotional video. There is a short sequence with an owner who has...

    engine ticking noise

Thanks for the information, it has set my mind at ease. On a related question, has anyone had any NSX experience with a Mecca Accusump?

    engine ticking noise

I am new to the NSX and Honda/Acura automobiles and not familiar with their peculiarities. I didn’t notice this when I first got the car, but now that I am feeling more comfortable I have started hearing things. It is a 92 with 47,000 miles. The previous owner had replaced the timing belt at...

    braking shimmy

Andrie, The brake pedal went to the floor. No amount of pumping would restore functionality. I used the hand brake to stop the car in the paddock.

    braking shimmy

Hi all, I am new to the forum and the NSX. In July I traded my 911track car (and a pile of cash) for a 92 NSX. Three weeks ago I instructed with the PCA at a driving clinic. The instructors had 20 minutes of track time to play around. This was my first track drive in the NSX. 18 minutes...
