    Glass correction

It's hard to say. I think some very light pits are gone, but I drove the car near sunset tonight and I can definitely still see pits. There were about five tiny chips that were visible in most any lighting condition and I focused mainly on trying to get rid of those. I wasn't able to get...

    Glass correction

My windshield had some wiper marks and small pits so, after seeing this video: ...I decided to give some of this cerium oxide and a rayon pad a try for a rainy day project. It is really slow going, and it's messy, but it does work! And I can actually see a difference all along the tape...

Re-embroidering NSX logos on floor mats?

So fortunately, in the car, the new mats don't mismatch as much as I thought they would. Especially since the carpet isn't quite the same shade as the plastic anyway, and neither of those are the same shade as the leather, etc.

Resurrecting a 91 w/32,000 miles on thats been in storage for 15 years.

And switching the 5-speed to JDM gears will give the same gear ratios as the 6-speed from 0-100mph while costing much less.

    JDM gear ratios visualized

Ah, interesting! I graphed that and yes, if you wait to shift until 8300 RPM and if VTEC doesn't go back to the low cam until 5200 RPM, then the JDM gears do keep you in VTEC while the USDM do not:

    JDM gear ratios visualized

That's a great point! That is one place I've noticed it most, slowing down to take a standard 90 degree turn from one road to another at an intersection. 2nd gear is usually too high for that so the car bogs. Going into 1st would be ok except that it requires more time and pressure on the...

    My lucky day

If you change your mind about selling, please do an auction for them because I think I would outbid anyone.

    JDM gear ratios visualized

I also plotted a comparison with the stick shift car I'm used to driving, a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata: It's clear from that why the NSX gears feel so long. I'm used to 1st gear redlining at 30mph, not 47, and having to shift into 4th at speeds where the NSX is only halfway through 2nd! :D

    JDM gear ratios visualized

One of the first things I noticed when I bought my 5-speed NSX was how long the gears feel. I heard the JDM gearset mentioned a lot, so I found the old FAQ entry that has the ratios and speeds (https://web.archive.org/web/20161117235936/http://www.nsxprime.com/wiki/Gear_Ratios), but reading is...

Need Help Assessing a car i am looking to buy

Several commenters have mentioned upgrading to a 2000+ ABS modulator, but I don't think that's an option any longer. Or, at least, not with new parts. Science of Speed no longer has the kit on their site, and Mita still lists it but says it has been discontinued.

Re-embroidering NSX logos on floor mats?

Today I took the mats around to a few local shops that do custom interior work, and also an embroidery shop that one of them recommended, but they all agreed that re-embroidering the original mats would be practically impossible. The logo is embroidered onto the carpet itself, so it would...

Re-embroidering NSX logos on floor mats?

I received the new mats (PN 83600-SL0-C00ZD) but I'm not very impressed with Honda here. They are the same color code, NH208L, as the original ivory interior parts from a 1991, but the actual color is clearly much more tan. I don't really understand why Honda wouldn't have either kept it the...
