    Carbon fiber roof for 2019

In my search for a car in 2017, the car I eventually bought had the carbon fiber roof. A $6000 option.... Not really wanting all that CF added cost, I swallowed hard and bought the car. When I got it, the first thing I thought was how amazing the CF top was.... Never thought twice about the cost...

Clicking noise from driver's side rear

Ticking was definitely the center caps. Just weird.... but after removing and replacing, never ticked again. It's been several years now and I can't recall if any never seize was used or not. It definitely had me thinking there was some major problem. Good luck.

For Anyone Bitching About the Engine Sound on the NSX

In my opinion, louder is not better, just louder.... Tough to make a twin turbo V6 sound like a NA V10. I feel like the NSX has its own distinctive sound, and at 65 YO, I guess I'm too old to want to hear a loud drone all of the time. I drove a Maserati MC 20 a couple weeks ago. Interesting car...

    Info on 19UNC1B01HY000202

Smart to pass on this car.... You are just inheriting someone else's problems. Wait for the right car to come along.

Hybrid Battery question - NSX sitting for over a year

NSXrock, thinking about it, the hybrid battery is under warranty, so if it were to turn up bad I'd think you'd be covered under warranty? So, I don't think you have any reason to worry.... Neuronbob, thanks for the information and insight. Very reassuring, and in a worst case scenario some...

Hybrid Battery question - NSX sitting for over a year

Got it.... It is recommended that you drive the car in Sport+ mode for a period of time at a minimum of every few months. It is my understanding that a trickle charger does not charge the hybrid battery, only the regular car battery.... Don't know the recommendation by heart as I make it a...

Hybrid Battery question - NSX sitting for over a year

If the regular 12v battery, the dealer should be able to run a load test.... If it fails ask them to replace it. You'd think someone would have it out and about on occasion if it's a used car..... so maybe the battery will be OK? But the OEM batteries fail in the 3-4 year range.

    What gas station to use?

I use Shell exclusively as I believe it to be the best quality premium fuel. I understand Valero is good as well. You can research what stations near you sell "Top Tier" labeled gas, and I would imagine that at a minimum you should use top tier gas. With the explosion in prices, I would imagine...

    Loss of traction

Well, If you are driving in race mode, which turns off traction control, and on old hard worn tires on a cold day, you're not going to have traction. Even if tires are newer, they are likely summer tires and will not work on a cold day. Whenever I take the car out on a cold day, I am VERY...

Clicking or creaking noise from drive train solved

This was the same conclusion that my NSX mechanic came to. We couldn't figure out why. I was going to put some antiseize on them , but got lazy and didn't. I now have one ticking on a different wheel now..... It must be some tolerance issue, and perhaps the wheel center moves enough to cause the...

    Type-S Announced

Well, after the big reveal, I came away with the distinct impression that Honda corporate told the engineers to tweak and update the car, and squeeze everything they could out of the current platform without any major financial expenditure. And I do think that the engineers succeeded in coming...

    Type-S Announced

Yes, upgrades to the suspension..... Read the article. It is lengthy and very detailed and gives you everything you need to know about the car, well, except I did not see any updated 0-60 and top speed figures. With the updates, I'm sure 0-60 is better based on their description of upgrades. It...

    Type-S Announced

Actually, the article in the link gives full details on the new car - 600 HP (no surprise as the gearbox was supposedly limited to 600 HP) and an MSRP of $169,500 (iron brakes) or $187,500 for the "lightweight" pkg including carbon fiber bits and the CCB's.... Oh and that cost upgrade saves you...
