This seems pretty basic, but worth checking before f#* anything up. The shift knob should just unscrew to remove, yes? It seems like I'm turning the shaft as well when I try to remove it. The shop manual sheds no light, besides the exploded view. Any hints will be appreciated! Tom

Didn't find anything in FAQ about this; I am experiencing problems getting my trunk lid to latch, and when it does the dash warning light stays lit showing unlatched trunk. I'v played around with adjusting the lid catch, but no dice. Is this a failure mode for the lower part of the latch? Thanks...
