It turns out that it wasn't an issue despite the fact that I purchased them used. The latest ones should have no problems whatsoever. There's plenty of clearance but I highly recommend that you have them wrapped or coated as the front bank is very close to the AC compressor.

May I ask what kind of aftermarket speakers you have? I am trying to do the same setup but unfortunately the FiiO A1 is no longer available so I have to piece together something else. I think for the lower powered amps, I need speakers that are at least rated at 4ohm.
