Offset critical?
We know that the offsets for the 2002+ stock wheels are:
55 mm front, 56 mm rear
yet I see all these aftermarket wheels offered in 30-48 mm offsets.
I had a bad experience with my CL55 - got some relatively inexpensive rims for winter tires with the (wrong) offset (36 mm...
Please send pictures and price. If there are 4 matched tires in stock sizes fitted I will consider that but I am really interested in the wheels. Whatever makes things easy for us both.
They need to be Acura/Honda manufacture only. 17x7 fronts and 17x9 rears.
I will pay for reasonable...
I've done that same route in the NSX, the CL55 and the G500. My S.O. had a son at one of the schools there. Different horses for the same course.
It is always fun to drive whether it is summer or winter.
Lots of Prius. Only fun car I saw was a blue Acura RSX-R (?) that had a Bobby Rahal...
I was stopped near a road construction site in York Maine. It started clouding up. One of the workers came over to me and said:
"Better get that Lamborghini indoors before it starts to rain."
He was nice enough to get one of the special detail police to wave me to the front of the line...
Re: 17/18 best value is relative - not always cheapest
Actually Fiske quoted me under $3500 for a set of 4 specially designed for the car and they will install the tire of your choice when they make the wheels.
They also are aware of issues about the TCS system and have supplied fitments...
I would look into the Yokohama S-drives as a less expensive alternative in stock sizes. I use them and are very happy. Another alternative is to look at the Advan s4 max all season series and see if they have something available.
1010 tire has a good tire calculator if you want to change your...
I don't know if you have a Town Fair Tire outlet there but they do a great job for me.
My Acura specialist at my dealership obtained the Euro-spec alignments and they dialed it in for me while I was sitting in the car!
You can call the Manchester, NH branch ask for the manager, and they will...
Zdx
I just got the Summer 2009 Acura magazine and I see this ZDX. It reminds me of an RX8 - a 4 door coupe, almost a contradiction in terms -but I like the idea of all wheel drive. I hate to be a bore, but is there any other info sources since I am lazy. Is this slated to be the NSX...
The Fikse company makes custom wheels for race cars. They also make custom wheels for street cars.
Go to
www.fikse.com
they will make you up a set of custom wheels that are under $1k each and will be under 20 lbs each.
Look at the Profil series.
BTW, what is the advantage of...
Ask them if they are 17" forged magnesium wheels for a series 2. (Or whatever the stock sizes are for the series one.)
If they say yes ask them how much they weigh.
If they weigh more than 16 lbs they are fakes.
BTW no one, to my knowledge, except Acura/Honda OEM NSX wheels at $1500 each...
http://www.carzi.com/2008/11/22/gordon-murray-reflections-on-the-acura-nsx/#more-3201
Gordon Murray owned a series 1 NSX for years.
Danny Sullivan once told me the only car that could outhandle the NSX was the McLaren SLR.
So the NSX was one of the design inspirations for the McLAren F1...
Since I live in NH, it would be more convenient for me to do Westford. Taking my NSX to Boston reminds me of the AMG Showcase I went to at the World Trade Center (sponsored by Clairs MB) where you couldn't drive the Black Edition with 28k miles on it - the only interesting car there IMHO opinion...
Please let us know when you reschedule it.
I used to surf in front of the Breakers back in the 70s! I was driving a SAAB 95 wagon - the REAL one with the Ford engine and that marvelous free wheeling that I guess was banned by some bureaucrat for our safety. Still wish I had that car but...
I need one excellent condition FRONT 17" forged mag wheel for a 2003 series NSX, the front pair, or an entire set of 4. I will consider whatever tires you have on them but really not necessary.
No aftermarket or chromed or painted parts please.
Please send pictures, best price and ground...
I don't know what the price difference but I like my S-drives after 1600 miles. Seem to handle temperature changes well. Warm up any tire for several miles before getting jiggy on the road.
Try some Yoko S drives if they fit your series, you drive in rain, and you can stand summer tires. They , I believe, are the replacement for the ES100s. All the HP installers around like them.
Oterwise if you try the Avensis 6i5s if your track the car and don't have much rain. They are glue...
The S.drive is one of many "budget performance summer tires" on the market, summer tires with okay dry grip, very good grip in rain, and reasonably long treadlife. They are designed for folks who are willing to sacrifice some performance (compared with top-of-the-line tires) in order to save a...
oxygen sensors are wired in series in the later cars. One could be good and the other bad; no way of telling in situ so best best replace them both but I'd keep the old ones - one might be good and ok for an emergency.
