How long does it take to wash/detail your car?

If I'm going to do "the works" it's the better part of an entire weekend for me. Probably 10 to 15 hours. Wash, clay, remove swirls etc, wax, vacuum, shampoo carpets/mats, treat leather. Glad to hear I'm not the only one taking this long!

Water w/crystal light or diet soda??

Hey Kelley - I used to drink about 3 to 4 cans of soda a day. I also switched to crystal light, but it was too sweet at full strength so I drank it diluted by half. I also worried about the artificial sweeteners and cost. Over the coarse of a couple of years, I transitioned gradually to bottled...

Attn St.Louis owner, IL. Need help, '94 NSX JH4NA1153RT000183

I'd be happy to go take a look. I'd consider myself pretty good at evaluating used vehicles in general, but I'm not an NSX owner so my opinion will be only worth so much. I can take pictures as well if you like, just let me know via PM. Good luck either way!

    St.Louis CARS & COFFEE + Fun Drive (April 2nd)

This time is different than posted on the facebook invite. They show 8:30am - 11:30am with the drive starting at 9:30. Are you aware of a time change? We've been juggling things at home lately with an ill family member, but I *may* be able to come. Could be a game-time decision. I'm looking...

I Could use Experienced Advice on Replacing Drivers Side Axle

I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this thread. I have a 3/4" drive Craftsman breaker bar, a couple of 3/4" extensions, and a Snap-On 3/4" to 1/2" impact reducer... but it sounds as though you've already broken the nut loose. I bought them a few years ago for exactly the same nut on another Honda...

    Rough few days...

I'm about 6 weeks post-op on my tonsillectomy and UPPP (removed 90% of uvula and soft palate trimming). The first 10 days were very uncomfortable, but I never got to the point where I regretted having the procedure done. I was off of codeine by day 6 or so. I was doing small jobs around the...

    Rough few days...

Coming up on a year now, how are things? I've just re-read this thread as I'm going in this Friday to have my tonsils removed and some soft tissues trimmed (uvula). I'm preparing for hell for a few days as the surgeon tells me I'll regret having the surgery for days afterward (just as the OP...

Genie Excelerator Garage Door opener - any experience?

We have two in our 3-car garage - I installed myself in 2004. Ours are the screw drive models. Both doors are insulated. They've worked great and are very quiet. When I bought them, I wanted "a good one" which is why I picked the Excelerator - it was the top of the line at the local big box at...

Cop punches girl in the head

If a law was broken, no matter how insignificant, you keep your mouth shut and follow orders. If you feel you have been wronged, take it to trial. End of story. There are good cops and there are bad ones. Without being there and seeing the entire situation unfold, none of us can say for certain...

    Anyone use Turbo Tax?

Turbotax Deluxe for personal returns: I'm a mac user and have used it since the mid-to-late 90's. For the most part, it's been a good experience. I got really irritated with intuit one year and voiced my complaints via email. They worked with me, and within a year, I was back on board. I...

Recommended Honda Service in St. Louis Area?

I'm looking for recommendations... I've got a 2000 Odyssey that is finally falling ill with the transmission failure that plagued a number of Hondas and Acuras of that era. I typically do my own service and am capable of doing clutches, timing belts, suspension, most anything. It sounds as...

How to most effi$iently heat a cold, cold, garage....

If all you are trying to do is take the "bite" out of the cold so that you can work, my solution may work. My garage is 24x32. First, my garage doors are insulated. I ordered it that way when we built, but you can add panels as mentioned a few posts ago. I'd say this is a must, plus it quiets...
