    First Drive C&D

I have to say that on balance all of the reviews are terrible. C&D, R&T, Top Gear, Automobile etc, both in video and in print. Car seems totally underwhelming to the reviewers. It's like they are really trying to like it and write as much nice about as they can, but car just has no buzz...

The Negatives of the NSX 2.0

I want to like it more, but the front is too busy, and 550 HP total including all the hybrid electric power train's contribution is just not enough, since 550 HP will not be available continuously on track for example. It doesn't rev high enough, at 7,500 RPM. And the price?? Who is going into...

So, who's planning on buying the new NSX?

If it does not better the GT-R which costs $100k and is made in Japan, then what is the point? If it costs the same as a new GT3 at $130k, and is not better than that, why would anyone buy it? I highly doubt it would beat the new GT3 around any track, first time out. Just not seeing the buzz...

Acura NSX Details Emerge - in Today's Autoweek

In regards to manual vs DCT transmissions with paddle shifters, I used to think that only manual was the proper choice. But after almost 5 years of driving my GT-R, I think dual clutch is the way of the future. I have been heel and toeing for over 15 years on track, and you get pretty good at...

Acura NSX Details Emerge - in Today's Autoweek

New GT3 has no 3rd pedal, gone for good. Virtually every modern Porsche sold is sold with a PDK transmission. Ferrari's have no 3rd pedal in any car they make. McLaren has no 3rd pedal. Manual transmission is dead for high end sports cars. Dual clutch is just so much better in every way. I have...

Interview: Acura Reveals More Details of NSX - CAR and DRIVER

The guy worked on the design of the MDX. That's cred enough? He did some auto crossing? Not getting it.

Interview: Acura Reveals More Details of NSX - CAR and DRIVER

150k? I think they just won't sell more than a few in the year of introduction to early adopters at that kind of price. GT-R was introduced at $69k in 2008, and they sold a ton of them. NSX was introduced at $60k and they sold a ton of those as well, including one to me. Then NSX prices kept...

Interview: Acura Reveals More Details of NSX - CAR and DRIVER

So it is going to be expensive, in the R8 and 991 range. R8 is a whole lot more expensive than a base 991. R8 starts at $115,000 plus $9,000 for the DCT transmission, so $124,000. 991 base model is $84,000 plus $4000 for the PDK transmission, so $88,000 going all the way up to $170,000 for a...

Acura NSX Details Emerge - in Today's Autoweek

When I first saw the NSX prototype in Detroit, I came back and went to my favorite dealer and put a deposit on it. Dealer told me they had "heard" at the pre-show talk for dealers only in Las Vegas that price was targeted at somewhere between $83-89k. The rumours keep pushing the price in the...
