Tein top hats with oem springs / shocks?

All, After lowering the car many years (15?!) ago, I've moved somewhere with bad roads and want to reinstall OEM springs. The car was lowered with a Tein kit of some sort, I forget which. I'm pretty sure it currently has a Tein top hat installed as it is green. I've got a stock suspension...

Warm low Rev Misfire fixed by resetting ECU.

2-pin coils so no error codes. Just what felt like a really bad misfire at low revs. I'm guessing that I inadvertently taught the ECU a bad fuelling map by blipping the throttle to warm up after reconnecting the battery? The car was sitting for a year with the battery disconnected before that...

Warm low Rev Misfire fixed by resetting ECU.

Just to add, after consulting with NSX Guru Kaz, this can also happen if you have a flat battery and need a jump, or use a battery isolator switch, (which I did).

Warm low Rev Misfire fixed by resetting ECU.

Not really needing advice, but thought I'd post this for future misfire sufferers to find as any references to doing this are buried deep in other threads. I had a misfire that occurred only when the car was warm and under load. I checked out a few of the things here, with none making a...

    91-94 coil packs.

I'm in Switzerland, been living here for 3 years but mods (6 speed box) mean that the Swiss wouldn't let me register it, so it has been sitting for 3 years. We are shortly moving back to the UK, so I need to drive it back. I snuck it over to France for a test drive and the miss became apparent...

    91-94 coil packs.

Hi all, I have a misfire when warm and under load that sorts itself out over 4k or so RPM but no warning light as no detection unit. It's not the fuel pump resistor - I pulled that and nothing changed. I don't think it's fuel or fuel filter as the car runs fine when cold. I've taken a look at...

    EPS code 31 & 33 - was EPS & TCS strange behaviour.

Wow. Great reply, thanks. Yep, UK car, originally 5MT, but I stuck a 6 in as I was fed up of paying for the clutches - car has done over 220k miles. Light fly, single plate clutch, and all original 6MT internals. Box is marked E6E if that helps. Swap was done about 3 years before the EPS issue...

    EPS code 31 & 33 - was EPS & TCS strange behaviour.

To recap. I had odd behaviour from warning lights that was resolved by replacement of clock fuse - thanks Larry! http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/172296-95-NSX-strange-behaviour-from-EPS-and-TCS-warning-lights?p=1694930 On replacing the fuse, I could pull the codes and there was a...

95 NSX strange behaviour from EPS and TCS warning lights.

I have no idea whether it has one or two. I do know that when I fitted the six speed box (an E6E?) every wire seemed to find a home without a problem. I'll have a look next week sometime and see what I can see! I read of an NC and an NM sensor - is the NM one that drives the speedo and the NC...

95 NSX strange behaviour from EPS and TCS warning lights.

RHD. Does this speed sensor not drive the speedo? If so that would explain why the speedo works fine. Will get one and report back. Cheers for the help! Matt - - - Updated - - - Actually in pre-war Italy (where else?) they had a rule whereby one drove on the left in towns and on the right in...

95 NSX strange behaviour from EPS and TCS warning lights.

EPS codes 31 and 33 - was "strange behaviour from TCS and EPS warning lights" If I were a gambler I would have lost my money. EPS light comes back on, and after it comes on, the next time the car is started there is no power assistance. However, the TCS problem is now fixed! Hurray...

95 NSX strange behaviour from EPS and TCS warning lights.

Oh, man. You're too good. I've just been down and checked, and no, the clock wasn't working. I hadn't spotted that. Previously I checked the clock fuse visually and it seemed fine. I don't have a spare 7.5A, so I put a 10A in and all of a sudden the clock works. So, I started the car and the...

95 NSX strange behaviour from EPS and TCS warning lights.

Hi all, I've searched the forum but can't find any similar behaviour to mine... 2 things. 1) TCS warning light is on. Stays on after starting, but when the SCS diagnostic is connected, it just stays on. No blinking or flashing. 2) EPS warning light comes on above 20 or so mph. Stays on for the...

    Misfire but no CEL

Ok, so. I removed the packs and plugs as detailed in my last post and reinstalled - I noticed on removal a couple of the plugs were only finger tight - and I cleaned the air filter, plus there were a couple of small deposits on the TB which I cleaned off. I tried David's plug off test, but...

    Misfire but no CEL

OK, more information. The car is not OBDII compliant - the coil packs only have 2 pins and I use a small 2 pin connector under the glove box for diagnostic. I'm yet to try a vacuum test as I don't have one to hand, but if the below fails I'll definitely hunt one down. So, yesterday I drove from...

    Misfire but no CEL

Just picked up my 1995 NSX after being stored for 6 months, and it feels as if it has a misfire, but no check engine light shows. I'm a believer that things that go wrong with cars, and especially strong ones like the NSX, tend to be due a chain of events rather than a part failing, I'll give...
