Torsional stiffness in Newton Meters for the NSX?

Good to know engineering is in no danger of being replaced by AI. Chat GPT completely ignored the m to m^2 and also the kg to N conversion. 54789.38 N-m^2/deg i believe is correct, Old Guy above is correct in the difference between torsional stiffness and torsional rigidity. To convert one to...

    KSP NSX-R Style Seats?

I seem to recall seeing a close-up of the genuine nsx-r seat label and it being a version of the spg-profi from recaro. This makes sense with the back support ribbing. I don't think the standard spg-profi has the seat belt buckle accommodation, and they seem rare in carbon kevlar. Maybe that...

Need to replace clutch. Which one should I get?

I've heard that the twin organic from exedy doesn't have the same noise as other twin discs, have you tried this one? I'm curious how the exedy twin organic and the SOS 350 compare. The SOS is cheaper, lighter, single-disc and I've seen good reviews, however, I've seen good reviews on the...

1994-01 7 spoke OEM wheels (Polished)

If these are polished aluminum, typically you would sand or sand blast, use a metal etching primer and paint as usual. You are right, an actual chrome plating is difficult to remove and also to paint over.

    JonMonkey's build thread

Congrats on the car! It's a beauty, love to see these being modified. Yes, please share the wheel specs and share some pictures of the fitment. That really helps people that are wheel shopping. I messaged you a question on the Seibon spoiler, not sure if you're able to receive PM...

Honcho's Long Road to Imola Type-S Zero

Honcho, I noticed your tuning questions and I went through some similar issues when I had upgraded to the RDX injectors. @MotorMouth93 is the expert, but I wanted to share some info that helped me when I was troubleshooting. I was also experiencing dropping out of the PE / open loop. I went...

    Interior FS: Gauge Cluster Rings

I can't say for certain with these exact ones, but I installed a J's titanium piece with a different set of machined rings. It was a perfect fit and looked great.

    FS: New Topspeed Titanium Exhaust

Hi Jason, I sent you a PM, but maybe you did not see it. I'm interested and located in WI, so could pick up directly. Is there a better way to get in contact? You can PM me back if you don't want to post it up publicly. Thanks!

ATR Racing Billet Camshafts (Comptech profile) + Billet Fuel Rails

Wow, these are gorgeous! Do these need adjustable cam gears to be installed, or will they re-use the OEM cam gears? Unfortunately adjustable cam gears are hard to find or very expensive for the NSX! Too temping...

Honda is going after 3D print files under copyright law.

Guess we'll just have to make parts designed for Hando's and Acaru's from now on...

Back to NA after 10 years of FI

You would need to flow ~50% more fuel to run the same power with E85. The OEM injectors definitely wouldn't be capable of this as they are pretty marginally sized just for the OEM power. The RDX injectors would probably be ok, but you'd be back to roughly the same margin as the OEM injectors...

Tuning the NSX 3.0L Using the OEM ECU

mskrotzki - That's a great tool, much better than my excel hack! I'll have to check it out come spring when I get my car back out. There's some pulsewidth-based parameters that have resulted in much better starting, idling, and driveability. Of course the baseline fuel map, but specifically...

Quaife quick ratio manual steering rack

One last steering rack related tip, the small rubber mounting bushings in the Energy Suspension kit 16.10103 (Integra) fit the NSX rack and collars (the small ones that the bolts go through). You can't use the large bushing that goes around the rack body, but the whole kit is ~$10 vs $6-$10...

Quaife quick ratio manual steering rack

Put in my pre-order! I had read a post on NSXCB forum with someone who worked at Quaife. They had developed an NSX specific rack, but it was a full motorsports rack (not just the rack & pinion). They had used 2.6 turns lock-to-lock, so sounds like the 15% would be closest to that. I run a ps...

Non standard factory outer tie rod replacement

I recently rebuilt & replaced my steering rack and with it the tie rods and ran into the same thing. At first I thought maybe I got the wrong year, but didn't see any indication that the PN had changed. I realized that the bushing with the hole that is too small can be removed from the...

Quaife quick ratio manual steering rack

bogle I messaged you back, I'm fine with sending my old rack out to Quaife to keep things moving. From what you've looked into it sounds like 30 parts is minimum order quantity, and we have ~1/2 that interested at this point. If anyone is interested please drop a reply in this thread or out to...

Quaife quick ratio manual steering rack

I swapped my steering rack this past weekend for a low mileage one that I rebuilt. If a rack is needed, I'll volunteer my old one as it's removed and ready to go. Let me know if this would help move things along and PM me with details. Thanks to those who have reached out to quaife and done...

Quaife quick ratio manual steering rack

Add me to the list as well, rebuilding the steering rack is next on my list and it'd be nice to quicken the ratio as well. Any idea if this will be compatible with the upgraded "rack knock bushing" that people are using to replace the worn plastic piece? I'm assuming if all other dimensions...

Tuning the NSX 3.0L Using the OEM ECU

My $0.02 on running without EGR, if you drive a lot and are interested in MPG then I'd just keep it. It should only come into use during cruising at those loads/speeds and will not affect power in any way. The only real downside is that running EGR will have some contaminate forming in the...

Tuning the NSX 3.0L Using the OEM ECU

In case others are thinking of chipping their ECU, I wanted to share my setup. Mark noted that the Demon interface is a little iffy and he had to brace it. I wasn't very happy with the USB connection directly to the board (you have to press on the board/socket interface and the connector is...

Tuning the NSX 3.0L Using the OEM ECU

Ok, thanks for the info on the PW, good to know. Yeah, I'll upload it for you to take a look at, it will be good to get some others weighing in on it. Note, it was pretty cool out last weekend so hoping no idle issues pop up in warmer weather. It had no trouble starting or on warm-up for me...
