To all those that have NSXs for sale on Market

At the end of the day I bought a car that was local. I didn't have to deal with import challenges, fly any where to pick it up or inspect it. It was just the right time, right place and right car. Congrats! Good to see it worked out for you, def less hassel than I went through for mine. I do...

To all those that have NSXs for sale on Market

Same deal here, mine's for sale as well. He had contacted me back in June/July, all the same stuff. Legit NSX questions and they were all stated on my ad. He eventually said the mileage was too high and the car was not what he was looking for after like 15 emails of info and pics I sent...

How long do coilovers take to install?

Agreed, with air & hoist its like 2hrs plus .5-1hr for alignment. The only 'hard' part is setting all four corners the same height before locking the tabs, and thats really not that hard. I installed my springs/struts (same principal) in like 1.5 and drove to work and did the alignment in like...

    which clutch?

I would also recommend the SOS sport clutch. The pedal feel lite but not floppy. Lite enough to drive everyday, but heavy enough to not mis-shift and ride the clutch when your 'driving' it. It's super smooth, not once in my 8k of use has it made noise, chattered or given any negative feedback...

    New garage floor!

I like it. A friend of mine has the same stuff in his garage. Really nice finish to a nice garage. Only thing I don't like about it is that it's knida loud when walking on it and that its no good for working on. But otherwise I'd have it in mine.

Guys who are DROPPED - list your Alignment specs here....

Me, see above post. Wheels are Volk GT-N 17x8 & 18x10, can't remember exact offsets (+30-40 I think) Tires are 215/40R17 & 265/35R18 and absolutly no rubbing front or rear.

    Sad to report

That's unfourtunate, hopefully everything works out. I'd say this would be the time to go to the US and buy a southern car. CDN $ is equal and importing is not difficult, unless the right car/price can be found here at home:smile: Good luck with the search....

Owners who cover their NSX's for the winter.

I too suffer from this disease. I just peek every now and again just to see it, like jog my memory, and then put the cover back on all misty eyed lol and wait for spring.

    NSX for sale in Halifax

The white one is the owner's of Atlantic Acura. He has had it for quite a while, almost since new. I asked the parts guys there last time I was in. I have seen it a couple of times (its not on the lot) and it looks to be immaculate. I would be quite sure that all maintaince is up to date.

    Finding an NSX in Ontario/Canada...

Importing from the US is fairly easy, finding the right car and getting all the necessary info about it is the hard part. Keep in mind that the US banking system is different than Canadian, so it can will take time for money to clear. Example, when I got mine, bank drafts, wire transfer...

This ONE bolt is ruining my life!

Here in good old eastern Canada where vechiles rust like no other, we use torches alot. And I would use them to cut the stud off. Then replace the stud & nut. To be honest, anyone good with a torch could likely cut the nut off the stud without damage to the stud or spacer, but since the stud is...

    Tapping/knocking noise ??

That's good news, easy fix and cost is a lot less that an engine. I would suggest ARP head studs.

    Tapping/knocking noise ??

If the valves were adjusted too tight they could potenially hit the piston at high rpms.... is the noise always there now or just when the revs are higher?

    Tapping/knocking noise ??

Are you certian its the bottom end? I've had a few proteges (I'm a mazda tech) that have the "rod knock" noise and it was actually from screws that fell out of the intake manifold valves and were on top of the pistons, jamming between the top of the piston & cylinder head. I'm not for certian...

    Tapping/knocking noise ??

Sometimes if you turn the crank over by hand with the oil pan off you can see excessive movement (up & down) from a rod if the bearing is bad, but the only way to be sure is to pull the cap off each rod and manually inspect each bearing. Hopefully since you shut it down quickly that the damage...
