    Lotus Emira

its hard to get a true sense of how problematic these cars are but anecdotal evidence certainly suggests that its fairly high. i would probably back out if i needed the car to be reliable as a daily, although anybody who was hoping for that has already moved on due to the delays. it seems like...

    Lotus Emira

Agree, I don't view this particular car as a slam dunk investment opportunity. You are for sure not the only one. Many people have lost patience and are not prepared to deal with Lotus ... quirks... that dealer is supposedly one of the best in the country though! When it comes to the tech...

    Lotus Emira

you can actually get any combo of sport / touring suspension and F1 / Cup2's. i opted for sport and cup2's and during my test drive on one i thought it was totally fine although some have mentioned that its a bit harsh as a daily driver in that configuration. (i disagree) lotus has not done a...

    Lotus Emira

I put down a deposit on an emira when it was announced 2 years ago. Be warned that due to production issues, the wait will be very long. I definitely think of this as a modern spiritual successor to the NSX!

Can I afford an NSX? / Is it practical for me?

This is a very personal question that depends on many factors. At that age / income / savings, if you lived in my area (Bay Area, CA) that would be a "no, not even close". Things are probably very different in GA though. Like others have said, owning an NSX is borderline owning a classic car...

Yup! the XPEL vs suntek debate seems to rage on. i honestly believe both will do the job equally well and that using whatever the preference of the most skilled installer you can afford / find is the way to go.

    Race Ramps Flat Stoppers

i have these but admittedly have yet to use them. i think it will still help since it does have some cradle, it has more give than your typical garage floor, and insulates the tires from the cold floor. would be awesome if they made different versions to accommodate different tire sizes.

New to the forums. Hi. Plus question?

I wasn't looking either but I ended up buying the car without even seeing it... it worked out perfectly!

    Paint or Powdercoat.

i personally am going painted... not worth the risk of putting wheels through heat cycles and potentially weakening them. seems like a personal decision.
