Thanks—I didn’t mention the only negative—it has a small oil leak—it’s had it at least 7-years—minor

Is the 91 NSX VSS interchangable with any other Honda transmissions?

Ok—I have the service manual (in print), I suppose I was being lazy, looking for a quick fix someone else has experienced. I’ll check it out

Is the 91 NSX VSS interchangable with any other Honda transmissions?

Well...I fixed the clutch pedal switch—still no cruise—I wonder if the NSX speed sensor maybe uses an additional wire that the Civic sensor doesn’t have?

Is the 91 NSX VSS interchangable with any other Honda transmissions?

I’ll try that—but the cruise control worked with the old VSS so I assumed it was the “Honda” part. Thank you

Alternative speed sensor with cruise? Anyone found a cheap alternative speed sensor in which the cruise control works?

My 92 with 143k miles is back on the road after sitting mostly for 6-years waiting for me to replace the timing belt—runs like new

Is the 91 NSX VSS interchangable with any other Honda transmissions?

Replaced speed sensor on my 92 NSX today Used 78410SV4003 which cost less than $7 on line—30-minute install and works great. My 92 part had the wire pigtail—replacement did not—works fine—maybe better without the pigtail wires. 93-05 part has no pigtail but works on 91-92, and this part works...

Clutch pedal starter safety switch thingy--any easy way to replace?

Maybe the plastic plunger on the switch was determined to be a risk--so the plastic thingy.........? I believe this part is only for US, or maybe North America......

Clutch pedal starter safety switch thingy--any easy way to replace?

It's been a while since I did mine, but seems like I pulled a connector off the switch clipped the two wires--stripped them and twisted them together. Warning and reminder, it will now start and jump if in gear when starting!

Clutch pedal starter safety switch thingy--any easy way to replace?

I guess there are no "tricks"? I will try once more, and maybe will just jumper the connector?

Clutch pedal starter safety switch thingy--any easy way to replace?

The rubber thingy on top of the clutch pedal disintegrated (brake one went years ago), and seems about impossible to get to? I am about ready to just jumper the switch permanently, but would like to put on the new plastic thingy if there is a way....? Has anyone got a trick?

steam at rear of engine at hatch latch

Thanks so much for all the help and input--in my case looks like it is oil. i finally found time to check it out today. The car has 140K miles, but only ~500 in the last 5 years so I think the oil has not had as much chance to burn off on long runs as it once did--there's 18-years of oily dirt...

steam at rear of engine at hatch latch

I'll check both this weekend--I assumed it was coolant, and I think I smell coolant, but could be oil. I will check both this and above the oil filter as BrianK suggests--this weekend--thanks for the help.

steam at rear of engine at hatch latch

I have steam at rear of engine when hot, right at bottom of glass hatch. It almost stops after sitting at idle a few minutes, and is very hard to detect any after shutting off engine. I have tried many times to find it, and assume it is a very small coolant leak, but is there coolant at...
