My quick opinion -- I've not driven a Gallardo, but were the drivers similiar in skills and balls, the Gallardo wins. On a side note, my favorite tires thus far ok Pirelli Pzero Corsas. No, they don't last long, but I have them on my 911 Turbo and 360CS and they are AWESOME. I'm looking for...

I agree, and I'm not willing to say 'better' yet. I didn't get enough playtime (was up to visit MSFT and hung with the Forza guys briefly). Am hoping it's better or at least as good (plus has more cars).

I don't think I'm breaking any NDAs to say that I've played it (a recent build), drove mostly the 360 CS, and it was AWESOME. The producer on the product gave me a great demo too of someone who actually has practice playing and I was blown away. I like the physics a LOT better than the Grand...

Bloody awesome, thanks -- I'd not seen the F430 in action, only pics -- thank you. What a car... what a car. I'm very happy with my stable, which includes a 360 CS and think, despite the extra HP, I would still be more happy with the CS than the F430... I hear they get similar track times on...

Bleh, if price is no object get me an Enzo or, if into older cars, a McClaren F1 GT. Sheesh :)

Doing a Palomar Run this Saturday, Sept 18th. Meeting at the AM/PM at Deer Springs Road/offramp off of I15 a few miles north of Escondido 9am sharp. Heading up Palomar Mountain, the back road, then to Mesa Grande, then Highland Valley. De is coming. Hope to see you there.

Looks like a decent turnout. Couple of guys coming from work, plus De and his buddies, plus some interest from the Ferrari guys . Am looking at 11:30ish at the AM/PM -- need to pick up a buddy at Palomar Airport at 11:11, then heading right over.

This Sunday, August 15th. Meet at AM/PM off of Deer Springs road off of I15 about 5 miles north of Escondido at 11am-11:30am. Drive lasts about 3-4 hours. Post if you have any questions.

We work near by and would be happy to join you guys and even bring our cars by -- would be fun. I've not done it yet, but several of the guys have and said it was a lot of fun.

Obviously anecdotal evidence, but the Diablo VT I drove *felt* like it was doing 0-60 in the mid to high 4s at best, and the fact that it will go near 70 in first gear helped (e.g. not having to shift). Also, watching the Diablo in the Best Motoring Jan 2000 Supercar battle exposes its issues...
