Unfortunately, I have some very sad news to tell.
Last Monday evening on December 14th, 2020, around 21:00 hours, my 1998 Honda NSX-T was stolen from the parking garage it was Parked in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The car had been standing still due to both the coronavirus but also because of...
Agree completely with you on the 'misunderstood' part.
Even the first generation was not received that well by many. Some felt that Honda could have done better in the performance category.
With the new NSX, I have always felt that if you want to get the most out of this car you will need to...
Certainly very nice review.
It is me or is it real that current day review on the NSX are more positive than the ones that were made just after launch?
I am having an issue with my '98 NSX with CTSC.
Have just taken her out of storage after a few months because of winter time.
Now, I find that when I start the engine, it seems to be running on only 5 cylinders. It will run steadily with the 6th cylinder only intermittently joining in.
Then...
On a stock NSX it always felt like the nose would get a bit light at very high speeds. But other than that, and with a good, straight and dry road and good tires, the safe top speed is simply the top speed of the car. Which will read about 280 kph (174 mph) on the odo if you have the space to...
Saw the pictures yesterday.
Am not impressed. Like you said, looks like a rebadged Z4, which happens to be a car that I also don't like very much.
Nose far too long IMHO and rear to short. Always looked to me like one of those cartoon cars in comic books.
If you're used to the clean and pretty...
I have been runing a Autorotor CTSC with the 440CC injectors, Walbro fuel-pump en AEM FIC for about two years now.
Before the addition of the FIC I learned too late that the car would start running lean at high RPM and so blew my piston rings on two cylinders.
Now, with a second engine, I have...
The NSX from ProCar in Germany (the guy that sold all the carbon fiber parts) had an original NSX-R engine installed in his NSX and put it on the dyno.
If I remember correctly, it made something like 323 HP. That's more than the 'standard' NSX, but not that much more.
I do know that although...
Several years ago there was an article on Jalopnik about the way Ferrari acted when a magazine or journalist requested a Ferrari model for testing. If it was found they wanted to track the car, Ferrari would first setup a specific car for that particular track, just so the car would do well.
I...
I must be different.
I am not in the market for the new NSX, but if I would, I would buy it in an instant.
Why?
Because I just want to have something different, something that is really special.
A Ferrari or a Lambo seems to be what succesfull people buy because they seem to think that is...
So few sold!
I really do not understand Honda at times.
Look like they are 'doing' exactly the same thing with the new, 2nd gen NSX as with the first.
The first NSX was in many ways a revolutionary car (IMHO) compared to its competitors. It wasn't the fastest, it wasn't the coolest, but it did...
Just came across this topic.
Actually, my daily driver is very simple, a Honda Insight with the IMA Hybrid drive from 2009.
Really like that car, very comfortable and fuel efficient. In many ways the opposite of the NSX but of course much, much cheaper to run. Which is exactly why I got it...
Nice quote :)
I already had the numbers (they are from the German Sportauto magazine) for the NSX-R, but did not have the GT numbers.
A lot of sports cars end up with much more drag (and lift) then the original NA1 and/or NA2 NSX, either by their size or Cd-values.
And most of them don't...
Have read this article some time ago in the magazine.
What struck me most is this paragraph:
This day-to-day aspect of the NSX is often neglected.
You can have a 5000 HP car and be the fastest in a straight line, but if the car does not allow you to use that power in a sensible way, that it...
Hi Rene,
First, welcome to the forum. And congratulation with you beautiful new NSX.
It is the first actual new NSX in my area (as in Europe, I am located in the Netherlands myself).
Enjoy your car !!
Very few views so far, so it might have been missed by most..

I still think the Honda NSX did come up with a clever idea with the TV-system.
In the recent NSX Supertest in the German Sport Auto Magazin, it was noted that the NSX was equally fast on...
Just bought the EVO magazine and of course read the NSX articles. Twice.
These articles have a lot more depth that just about any other article I have read so far on the NSX.
Obviously, the writers spent a lot more time in the NSX than a lot of the other journalist.
One thing they...
Hmm, the NSX-R aero I've got.
The PSC2 tires I can buy
Am running Federals 595-RSR now, nice tires but not quite the peformance of the PSC2 (nor the price).
400 Whp I haven't got. But do have around 340-350 now with the CTSC.
I still have the larger RB rotors on my car, 324x28mm front, 330x23mm on the rear.
The fronts are due to be replaced for the second time, but this is to be expected. They've seen about 15.000 km on the road and about 6 track-days.
I used Hawk HPS pads for a while, but felt they performed less...
I have had a set of your enlarged brake rotors on my car for several years now. Am on my second set of front rotors, rears (330x23mm) are still ok. The fronts are almost at the end of their life.
Am also still thinking about upgrading the NSX OEM front brake calipers with a set of your...
